Nope. It's not. But telling Black & Brown people to surround law enforcement is not safe or impactful.

Except it wasn't always like this. This is the real time consequence of George Bush and No Child Left Behind. When you force teachers to focus more on testing than educating, the kids focus more on memorizing than they do actually learning

WHEW. Talk to text was a WHOLE HATER! That was supposed to be "for $803" a month. I was agreeing with you. 😬

Thank you. I'm sorry for your loss as well. It sucks that we are here, but we're not alone.

Your feelings are very valid. You're not alone. The man who raised me (an unfortunate distinction that has to be made, because my father is still alive but... yeah), my grandfather, his sister, my aunt & uncle that passed before getting to meet my son. Serious emotional damage 🥺🥺🥺

What did you do? Was it just diet and exercise?

Yeah. The man that raised me has a birthday coming up. He passed in 2018. My son was born in 2019. It really hurts my feelings when I think about the fact that he wanted a grandchild more than anything, & he didn't get one until after he was gone. 🥺

At this point, white supremacy has got people just stupefied. It did a number on Black folks, & it's so ingrained in white people & other people of color that white approval is necessary to move this country forward, that we're never going to be free

One of my favorite creators on TikTok stays coming for JLo's neck and that's one of her favorite sayings. I find it to be appropriate in many situations

Yeah, he's definitely one that would complain about Black girls teasing him when he was younger as a reason why he hates all of us...

IDK why I wanted to be optimistic about that. Even if it was just a joke for TikTok likes & views, I briefly consider what it would look like to have people aligned in that way. BUT ALAS.

I also thought that perhaps having some pale folks that were truly on our side might turn the tide. Perhaps that could be the secret ingredient to coalescing all people of color against oppression...a Trojan horse if you will against white supremacy.

I think when I initially saw the ginger invite go out, I thought about it similar to how the Italians, Irish, Scottish, and others were invited to be "white". Other European folks needed the numbers to not be the numerical minority against all the Black folks that they imported, bred & enslaved.

Much like how in Sinners, diverging interests can be temporarily aligned, but whenever given the chance, "others" will do what they want for their own gain. And history has shown us this time and time again. Why do we still continue to be so empathetic!?

I fear that we aren't ready for the revolution either. I've been roasting white folks for months for asking for bouncy houses down to the protest, but it seems we aren't equipped to completely stand on our own alone without inviting others who have shared a struggle to fight with us

I got to pull this thread a little bit more. Because I definitely "liked" all the redheads being gracious about being welcomed into the community videos on TikTok. I saw Sinners several times, so I was well aware of what was happening. So why was it so easy to not protest to the mass invite?

THE JUKE MUSIC SCENE!? 🫠🫠🫠 Yeah... I might need to make that ride to Buford...

I'm seriously contemplating driving an hour and a half to go see it in the suburbs of Atlanta. It would be my fourth viewing. I know that IMAX is STOOPID

Indeed. I wish them floors full of Legos in the dark, and no slippers!
