I remember that. And ain’t nobody above getting left in the dust. My post was in response what I saw saying she went MAGA since moving here and nothing she does here in the city is indicative of that. Moreover, TN is red but Nashville is blue.

Now for the grown people, there’s no excuse, but for the most part, the grown people heavily opting into AI are the ones who don’t value education anyway.

Yeap same. And the only reason I was able to do that is because humbly, I know K-8 Math left right up and down so I knew how to embed those skills in my practice. A teacher without seriously deep content knowledge isn’t going to have the breadth to do that.

The younger generation are doing what they’ve been taught to do - present the information. The academic process has been totally devalued. There’s no opportunity to teach research unless you create one outside of the scope of the curriculum you’re given.

People forget that just because much of Gen X and older #onhere look amazing and more youthful doesn’t mean you aren’t still looking through the lens of an older person. And I say #onhere bc 50 in the wild varies greatly lol

I wanna also add to this - I think part of the problem comes from people not recognizing that trauma does not always come from malicious acts. Some of the main ā€œhealedā€ but unhealed people haven’t dealt with their mess because they’re only looking for a nefarious source. bsky.app/profile/miss...

We were taught to suffer in silence just like yall, so that the man could have ā€œpeaceā€ when he got home. Black women elders had to go to work and be belittled just like men. They had to take care of the house. They had to take care of the man. AND stfu. Fck outta here with the whining.

What I have found is kid damage comes more from parents’ lack of maintenance in between braids rather than the braids themselves.

Love! Got two pics here - both techniques will help prevent what you’re trying to very understandably avoid. 1) leave some hair out so edges won’t get pulled or 2) pull and start the braid further from the edge. If she has strong strands she should be fine as far as tension (within reason of course)

Does she want singles? As far as packs, the good news is most braiders these days provide the hair
