Blackwell to DHS official Tricia McLaughlin: "You suggest I am the one here who is focused on skin color, when the president has let in Afrikaners specifically, and I'm asking, how many of those who are actually facing genocide from Sudan and the Congo are being let in under some expedited path?"

Al Green understood the assignment

People were killing themselves and eating their own horses to survive during the Depression. And I never forgot the book The Grapes of Wrath describing how the Salvation Army made people crawl on the dirt and bark like dogs to amuse them in the bread lines.

Seen yesterday on a public bus in Heidelberg, Germany.

MY LITTLE GOLDEN BOOK ABOUT PRIDE comes out today and I'm feeling extremely Ralph Wiggum "I'm in danger" about it. It's beautiful though and I love it no matter what they say

What an incredibly incompetent clown. Maybe he should have thought about the (patently obvious) effect of tariffs on the auto industry *before* imposing them? He’s like a monkey on a keyboard.

Posted by @cturnbull1968.bsky.social on another platform: "Trump honoring a child with brain cancer tonight and then leading a standing ovation for him while simultaneously eliminating all spending for child cancer research is a perfect encapsulation of MAGA morality."

This is the first page of this morning’s edition of the Globe and Mail (arguably the English Canadian paper of record) I don’t remember seeing anything like this before

I'd love to comment on what Donald Trump said tonight, but I'm not that interested in what sociopaths lie about.

I'm down to my last avocado. Do I make guacamole? Or do I sell it and use the money to buy a lesser Picasso?

FACT: Immigrants are our nation's strength! Immigrants make up 17% of all health care workers, 28.2% of physicians, 27% of direct care workers, and a staggering 38% of home health aides. #ProtectImmigrantFamilies #MOMSky

Democrats should be blasting this everywhere

Do I wanna be warm? Of course. Do I want my house to be warm? Absolutely not. I want my house to be just cold enough that I can smother myself in blankets *thereby becoming* warm. Please respect my process.

All those female Popes. And the witchcraft trials. And the traditional vows to love, honor, and OBEY. And "Your body, My choice."

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

Alexander Smirnov, the former FBI informant who falsely accused President Biden and his son Hunter of taking a $10 million bribe from Ukraine, was sentenced to six years in prison today. After Smirnov was changed with lying about the bribe, he admitted the information came from Russian officials.

I second this motion

Trump pardoned Roger Stone, Steve Bannon, Michael Flynn and Paul Manafort, as well as his son-in-law’s father, Charles Kushner—who he just appointed as US ambassador to France. Sorry, but President Biden was right to pardon his son Hunter in order to protect him against Kash Patel’s weaponized FBI.

Oh, give me a goddamn break, you lying, hypocritical felon.
