No. Peppermint Patty was quite different. Braun's primary attribute was talking loudly, and that was made more of a Lucy thing.

Has there ever been a property that has undercut its original message as much as this one that launched about it being okay to have a large nose?

Along with issuing stablecoins, they'll be issuing stablepicklejars, stableairfryers, and stabletenpairpackofsockses in order to keep prices at those stores fixed.

This is an album I've not yet listened to, so I don't know which, if any, have specific cow content.

Oh. There is much good in her work. Apparently, some cartoonists are actually otherwise talented!

I hope (and expect) that you are familiar with the music of Sandra Boynton, which offers a number of examples.

Yup. Tony would go on to write an intro for an American Splendor book. What I'm wondering is how much Harvey influenced him toward writing comics himself. Tony's first graphic novel came out in 2012.

I am tempted to make this quote my next protest sign, just to watch folks strain to find in-context meaning in it.

The best way to keep a celebrity marriage private is not to tell anyone, especially the wife.

There were 7 professional bands lined up for this, and 50 amateur groups. Dance space was provided, 1500 square feet. If we take the lower estimate of how may folks show up, and reckon that a mere 10% of them wanted to dance rather than just listen to music... that's still 8 dancers per square foot.

One thing that's great about working in downtown Los Angeles is that you can walk to the beach and catch some rays on your lunch hour!

In a reversal on what we might see today, the Chief of Police said "I've never seen anything like this before. There's a lot of nice boys and girls here [...] Some of the things that are happening could cause real trouble in any other kind of crowd. Thank heavens they seem happy about everything."

The dancers filled the field space where the bands were supposed to be. After a couple hour delay, the bands finally were able to start performing... only the moving masses soon pulled apart the electrical lines that the bands needed to be heard.

It confused Dad that my goal was not to turn About Comics into a large corporation that I could sell, but merely to make an income publishing interesting things as well as I could as a 1-man shop

I'm trying to figure when we lost that in the US (probably when they added $100s.) The early ATMs, the MAC machines and such, carried 5s as well... I don't think you could pick quantity, but you could ask for, say, $35. Inside of Chase branches are ones that give you $1, $5, $10, $20, and $100.
