I've said it a million times: Fetterman ran as an unapologetic progressive who didn't take crap from anybody, and that succeeded so much more than the usual PA-Dem centrist mush.

Trump barely won and was clearly going to be a disaster quickly, and yet so many Dems embarrassed themselves trying to triangulate with Trump, and they look like either cowards or craven political operators (Schumer, Newsom, Fetterman, etc).

I wonder if trying to shoehorn every film into some broader content universe has hung them up from just "make a good movie." Reminds me of how Shang-Chi was a good movie on its own until they shoved Ben Kingsley's Iron Man character into it.

Yeah, the confluence of UVA and Republican politics is a reminder of my personal "there I go but by the grace of God" story.

Anytime some amoral mess gets put out in Trek, people say, "Well, DS9 went dark," and ignore the incredible tension that Sisko's character brings to any given situation.

The genius of Youngkin has been to act nice while sending his goons to keep a low profile while doing the real work in the administration.

"Runabout Intruder" and "And the Children Shall Lead" would round out my bottom 2.

I remember watching this one thinking, "I don't know what people are talking about; this is good!" then getting to the last 10-15 minutes and saying, "Oooohhh..."

Would definitely put "Return to Tomorrow" at the top.

Yo, Fetterman, I think the government has already been getting shut down for the last month and a half; what are you talking about?

The government is already getting shut down and shuttered by an unelected billionaire and people are already getting hurt while you try to play cute and act like things are normal.

I also don't know how you can be the ranking member on Intelligence and still act like this is all normal.

I appreciate the comparison to Kelvin films. S31 backers have spoken in vague truisms ("need something different, need to appeal beyond base") without dealing with, you know, the movie.
