One more month until Superman and I'm genuinely excited for this movie. Superman is exactly the kind of character we need right now - someone who is positive, kind, selfless, and simply wants to do good and help others.

I actually liked Veilguard, but yeah, this is a big problem with both the gaming and film industry that doesn't get talked about enough. Meddling executives, who typically aren't even creative people, who set unreasonable expectations and deadlines, which leads to crunch.

The one thing that conservatives love more than anything is being fake victims. It's easier for them to whine on the news and social media for sympathy points to sell their bigotry and fascism than it is to have a good faith debate.

How the hell did we lose two music legends in the span of a few days? RIP Sly Stone and Brian Wilson.

"Nobody asked for Andor." "The general audience is tired of live action remakes." "The Switch 2 has no hype." Once again reminding people that just because a talking point trends on social media, that doesn't mean it happens in real life. Especially when it comes to art and entertainment.

About damn time. It's nice to see Disney sue someone who actually deserves it for once and this is the one time I'll be rooting for them to win. And who wants to bet that this will be the AI company's defense?

Have you noticed how much fascists and chuds desperately need us for their content? They need us far more than we ever needed them. Calling them out is a good thing, but it's not like we base our life around "owning" them or reacting to them like they do.

Lol, what a predictable coward. Meanwhile, Greta Thunberg has been doing actual activism despite years of threats from fascists. Even in the past few days she's shown more political courage than most politicians, billionaires, and slacktivists will in their lifetime.

Impressive numbers for a console that people online insisted would fail, though it'll be interesting to see it can keep that up with tariff BS and inflation. Nintendo deserves plenty of criticism and the console itself isn't perfect, but declaring that it'll fail was very premature.

Planet of the Apes. There's the original pentalogy. The terrible Tim Burton remake that we don't talk about. The actually very good reboot trilogy. And a sequel to the trilogy that's also very good.

Why is positivity so discouraged and demonized on social media? Is it really for the clout chasing? Hell, I've noticed that even videos that aren't 100% negative or don't feature some loser screaming insults at a movie get unfairly criticized for not being negative enough.

I can't help but notice that the people who insist that Bluesky is supposedly "dying" are shitty fascists and opinion columnists who are big mad that they don't have a platform here and they're much more likely to face actual criticism than over at the Nazi bar.

One only needs to look at Target's declining profits and customer base to see what happens to a business that chooses to bend the knee to fascism. "Go fash, lose cash" is a much more accurate slogan.

Lol, because the Metaverse and NFTs worked out so well? Maybe try coming up with something actually useful instead of chasing the latest fad.

You should not feel pressured or scolded into constantly talking about politics and every current event. Especially if it's something that you don't feel like you're qualified to talk about or when other people with much bigger accounts already are talking about it.

It doesn't matter how many times the chuds chant it or how many low effort slop YouTube videos they make, "Go WoKe Go BrOkE!" still isn't a thing that happens. I think the average person outside of the Fox News and YouTube bubble simply doesn't give a shit.

"Tate checking" is a good thing, actually, and men should do it as well. Tell your male friends that if they become fascists and spend all their time listening to fascists, creeps, bigots, and conspiracy theorists, then you will cut them out of your life.

The Mario Kart World soundtrack goes way harder than it needed to, but I'm really loving the remixes of older Mario music. Noticing a bit of jazz theme for some of the retro tracks. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNZj...

John Carpenter's The Thing (1982) is probably one of my favorite horror movies of all time. It's interesting in that it got negative reviews when it released, but is now regarded as one of the best. Its also one of Keith David's earliest roles.

What I love about the recent resurgence of Canadian pride is that it's not based in bigotry and fascism. It's more about buying Canadian and sticking it to Trump and fascists in general. We even reclaimed the flag from the fascists who were using it at their rallies.

Community Notes is probably the last good thing to come out of Twitter in the past couple years, and honestly, I think Bluesky could use a similar feature.

Reminding people to not harass any of the child actors in that Harry Potter reboot. The adult actors who willingly sign up for this shit knowing that it helps fund hate campaigns? Call them out, especially if they stay silent on her hate or make excuses for it.

Dealing with all the scolds and anti-fun killjoys on Bluesky is annoying, but still a thousand times better than being back at the barely functioning Nazi bar where you'll be threatened and exposed to all kinds of vile hate speech and fascist propaganda.

It's very interesting how all the things that conservatives tried to scaremonger us about, particularly about a big tyrannical government that would arrest innocent people, take away people's rights, and suppress free speech, always seems to happen under right-wing governments.

Stating the obvious, here. Not only is AI stealing art and destroying the environment, its going to ruin people's critical thinking skills, creativity, research skills, and their desire to learn anything new. AI needs to be heavily regulated. gizmodo.com/microsoft-st...

Have you noticed how the biggest MAGA influencers are all failed actors, losing athletes, and people who lack creativity? You almost never see anyone who is at the top of their game going MAGA and still hold on to their career. MAGA and bigotry don't sell to anyone outside of the base.

Good. The Warner Bros Discovery merger has been nothing short of a dumpster fire, thanks largely in part to Zaslav's greed, incompetence, penny pinching, and anti-art business practices. As long as he remains in charge, WB's problems will continue to get worse.

Damn it, Rune Factory, I haven't even left the Spring Village yet and already have four really strong potential romance options. Being pansexual means that I have even more options to romance some likable characters.

Interesting how these shitty opinion columnists never write about the manosphere or the Fox News bubble. And why the hell would I want to go back to Twitter to subject myself to disinformation, hate speech, threats, and fascist propaganda?

I believe that social media can and should be a force for good. The problem is that fascists, billionaires, and shitty tech bros go out of their way to make sure that social media remains a net negative for humanity by rewarding and celebrating hate and negativity.

Yeah, if you walk around wearing a "Make *Blank* Great Again" hat, you know exactly the type of audience you're aiming towards and want to cultivate. Good people have every reason to be sus of you and not want to buy your thing.

Posting this again because I think some people need to hear it. If you're going to fight fascism, don't let yourself become as miserable and as joyless as they are. Don't let them drag you down with them.

How the hell does a creep like Jared Leto still end up getting work, and fairly big roles, when he has a laundry list of allegations as long as his? But sure, tell me again that "cancel culture" is a thing and that MeToo "ruined lives".

Pixar didn't "fall off". They got majorly screwed over by the pandemic (people still don't want to acknowledge how badly the film/TV industry was impacted by that for some reason) and the other issue is that Disney doesn't seem to want to market their original movies.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to criticize all the big gaming and movie studios, yet people on social media would rather insist on pushing easily debunked lies and bad faith criticism to get easy likes and that rush they get from clout chasing.

I really hope that the fascism we've all seen from the Trump admin and their goons can finally put to rest the myth that conservatives believe in free speech and small government. They were ALWAYS about using the government to punish and censor anyone they don't like.

If no Alien or Aliens, then Galaxy Quest and as a bonus, her voice cameo in WALL-E. Sigourney Weaver also happened to be one of my earliest childhood crushes, which has continued well into my adulthood.

My newest favorite characters:
