That's exactly what I thought when I read it, too. It's absolute bonkers shite.

I also hadn't realised the full title of the conference until they'd emailed me, and what the hell is a "natural" woman anyway?

I just got an email from the Johnstown Estate saying the Natural Women's Conference will not be taking place at the Estate. Also, that no further will be made.

Just sent them an email asking if hosting the hate speech con was worth signalling to the kids in their local community that they have an unhealthy interest in their genitalia.

So write about it until you feel confident writing something else. At least you have a publisher interested -- congratulations! You don't need to plan out your career of books from the beginning. (I'm telling myself this, too, as I have the same thoughts)

There's a non zero number of writers who have done exactly this, what are you thinking is bad about it? I guess the two primary questions are: it is fun and does it sell?

Yea, I know... There was also a bit of a medical misadventure along the way to help the CFS bloom, as well. It really has taken a lot of work to stop blaming myself for it all.

Folk in some jobs are doing 3 FTE workloads. Folk in other jobs are actively hindering through bullying and empire building. But admitting that bullying is a problem in the NHS, costing everyone time, money, and patient treatments, is somehow sacrilegious.

I was bullied out of my last job, and struggled for a long time with the guilt of having to stop my fight against them out of self preservation. There was no way I could have won. Jokes on me, tho, coz what I thought was burnout was actually CFS.

Do we need to have the chat about how delightful and clean Scottish water is? And who said anything about throwing out modern medicine? Fun fact, given the context: Penicillin was also discovered by a Scottish scientist.

Fair. I bought a 3rd of a trilogy for my upcoming birthday and now I'm wondering how soon do I start re-reading the first books. But I have another complete trilogy to read and I don't feel the need to re-read the first books, but I might because they were fun books.
