I always see this (and shoot it myself) framed with the horizon near the top. Neat to see the sky made a part of the composition

I lived on wide primes forever. Just in the last couple months I’ve been feeling like shooting more “normal” length glass. Only took 20 years haha

It worked but like, I did always feel bad cause I love cameras and would love to talk about them, but this pesky editor keeps texting me about his damn deadline hahaha

Back when I was working in newspapers I did this because it was one less reason for over enthusiastic “camera guy“ dad‘s to talk to me at sports games. Ditching the logo let me plausibly say I had no idea what the camera was and get back to work. Schedule is tight for news photogs.

Amateurs talk tactics. Professionals talk logistics.

I’m being a bit of a snark, but like you can totally learn. My first stick shift I learned driving it across the country in December. Boys do it, it’s not that hard. You got this girl.

It’s easy, clutch in (far left pedal), half throttle, step off clutch. Makes fun noises and lots of smoke, good times for all.

I’m sooooooo tempted by these. Nice and new but retro enough to be interesting. And a little easier to daily carry than my absurd 6x7 haha

Lots of camera people are weirdly precious about their gear. Like y’all, pros beat the shit out of this stuff and it works just fine.

My face is not trustworthy around shit like that.

I usually do a gel manicure in the late fall in time for all the end of year networking socials and holiday parties. That shit comes off by mid January though, too many rough hobbies to keep it up for long.

A foreskin obsessed eugenics weirdo who doesn’t like driving fast? Wow this guy has zero game at all. Like negative game. A game vacuum if you will.

I had a boss with one of these ages ago. Tuned, exhaust, solid support mods. It was irritatingly fast with faux wood trim and all.

This is exactly why I have no plans to replace my 5D mk4. It does everything well and I have great glass for it.

It’s been my go-to medium format for a while now. A little slow to load, and it’s heavy, but super easy to shoot with.

Anyone else read that list to tune of the “canyonerro” song?

Still one of my all time favorites. So nice to ride, so light, and just a good simple superbike.
