I spoke with someone at the Blade just now and they said the Park Service issued a statement early this morning that they had rejected DC Police's request to rescind the order. So, this is a Trump/Park Service thing.

Here we go. Now watch as the DOJ just hands it to them. It’s just an ATM for MAGA now. Proud boys get paid, lawyers get paid and Trump admin gets the kickback. This is all a grift. All of it.
They’ll settle quick for absolutely no legal reason. First of many to help fund these terrorists.

It is surreal to be bombarded with constant op-eds about how we must finally admit that lockdowns, mask mandates and school closures didn't work.
Yes they did! COVID death rates were driven by lax policy and low compliance, mostly in red areas.

If you burn down a forest, you don't miss out on lumber for just that season. You have to replant all the trees, nurture them, and wait for them to grow.
The science and research budget cuts happening now are wanton, senseless arson. Recovery, if it ever happens, will take generations.

Full stop, I'd take a bullet for Rachel Accurso. She taught my toddlers to read.

Hope you found a local friendly to help with the breaks.
Getting it done at a service station is usually uncomfortably expensive, but any car guy can knock it out in a couple hours (not having a lift and pneumatic tools makes it take much longer than it feels like it should)

I worked for inter library loan photo copying articles from science journals. The evidence of this was right on the shelves. German scientific journals that had been regularly published for decades got thin and intermittent in the 1930’s before ceasing entirely

I personally witnessed the ICE raid in Colorado Springs a month ago.
This video is an exponential leap in tactics of force.
Which tells me an even more aggressive raiding style IS being practiced and discussed right now.
They are just jumping the line a bit before the gun.

The problem is that they aren't fighting back. It's at the point where just yelling and having a parade aren't useful forms of resistance (if they ever were).
