I had it all planned out I was going to do this. Not the walking around in the streets and handing out tacos in the middle of the night part, mind you. Hanging on blue sky made me feel all benevolent. But I did plan on eating tacos and watching this series of movies that I've never seen. Thx, mate.

Thank you. It does get wild out there. Maybe just take the extra 20 bucks and put it into the food bank system here. I still feel grateful to have my simple means when others have no means.

Hell yeah, thank you for reminding me! I'm supposed to order some tacos. Sitting here in a shitty motel in a shitty part of town and I'm gonna order in and watch the Dark Knight Trilogy. More tacos equals less strife. Might get a couple to share. So many people just living out on the streets.

That's what my doctor said to me, and I'm just a dude. The initial nauseation is supposed to wear off but I couldn't bear it. Maybe all us men die an early death and it'll be a world of wise old women walking around. Then the aliens might like us! Feeling dark like John Oliver tonight. /humour

So weird that we call it a wealth distribution system. More like a wealth vacuuming system. The "common man's" labour is the only wealth that exists. Then the fuckers just hoover it up. This is why strikes are effective. Take out their bottom line and maybe they'll come in line. Bravery, solidarity.

Money, power and who you know. It's the nurses that actually care for people and the paralegals that really know more about the law and precision of the art. Something's off and I can't pretend to know how to fix it right now. Thanks for making me think a little deeper. 🤔

What is it about the legal education system that lets so many people worthy (maybe) of only lesser degree slide through the system. It's a doctorate degree. Every other doctorate program that I know of has very high standards and the advisory process is supposed to filter this out. This sucks.

Welcome back to a hopped up ginned up cooked up PR scheme. This is small town cop looking to find some crime for beating the hell out of an innocent man one night stuff. Reuben Carter knows.

One must also admire the medics that took care of a person with six gunshot wounds. May they all live long, and prosper

More of their shitty lawyering. The very fact that these people have law degrees tells us something is very wrong with the system in whole. I feel like I would be summarily dismissed if I was a paralegal at a small town law firm and I made these mistakes.

The only unlawful assembly that I see are those that would block people from their constitutional right to address grievances.

These are the days when anything goes, and what comes next, nobody knows. Cause disorder and pushing the borders to establish new order. They have a plan. We're all sitting ducks.

Yes, it was failure back then. They were devastated if the theory didn't match the outcome.

Every day, inhumanity on display. This too shall pass, but not without a reckoning. At the very least, the courts are putting it on paper for historical posterity.

I really wish somebody would do a journalistic deep dive into this. There's a huge story here and it's not being properly pursued.

So very cool. Wizards is a rad flick too! Thanks HH, I might have to do a rewatch of both now. Piqued my Bakshi, you did!

Congress Dems need to go to these facilities, en masse, every single day and show these fools that they mean business. Everything else is just talking. They only understand physicality. Not violence, mind you, but physical presence and voice. Make the goddam news, get loud. Good trouble!

But you still look them dead in the eye, point and say, "You're a lying no good fascist fuck and a cheater." Never relent, they won't.

Exactly. What then is to stop all sorts of frivolous suits by people who are political allies? Maybe a million dollars a piece to every pardoned January 6th traitor? They can just pay with no oversight?

Does any Court have to approve this? Or do they just get to give money away?

In all honesty, I think the first book that tore me up was The Yearling. I remember finishing it while I was in the car with my dad on a road trip in Spain. I threw it to the floor of the car and stomped on it while I sobbed.
