Hope Neil Young does his hit Sweet Caroline x

What am I watching?! Some old guy’s just wandered on the stage with a crappy guitar and harmonica. #Glastonbury

Where do the Eavis family put their cows when they’ve got all those people round for a bit of a sing song? #Glastonbury

He wasn’t invited was he.

In a world so full of hate and division, I don’t think that shit bands say on the Glastonbury stage is the pearl clutching moment lots on Twitter are making it. #Glastonbury

Nobody should be surprised at Rod Stewart's support of the Reform Movement; he once said that Enoch Powell should run the country!

I love Jarvis Cocker. #Glastonbury #Pulp #CommonPeople

I just think the media don’t know how to take Starmer. He’s not media savvy, makes mistakes - owns them, tries to get things right - admits when he doesn’t. Just a normal human. Not particular political or charismatic. Time will tell how history paints him. So far he just confuses people.

Westminster Voting Intention: RFM: 30% (-1) LAB: 27% (+3) CON: 19% (+1) LDM: 12% (-1) GRN: 7% (-2) SNP: 2% (-1) Via BMG Research, 24-25 Jun. Changes w/ 28-29 May.

Lewis Capaldi back at Glastonbury has just had me absolutely bawling! 😭😭😭❤️

This, by @tombaldwin66.bsky.social, is magnificent. It’s also quite sad. Starmer is a very real, very normal man who cannot show the world that side of himself. His failures are rooted in his authenticity. It’s clear Starmer is a very different PM. I hope desperately he is a successful one.

I think this is a brilliant interview. So human. observer.co.uk/news/politic...

Media: STARMER IS PUNISHING THE DISABLED AND WILL LOSE THE VOTE UNLESS HE MAKES CHANGES. Starmer: listens to MPs, makes changes. Media: STARMER U-TURNS AGAIN, HES LOST CONTROL. 🙄 This country doesn’t want democracy.

Woman ringing in to @shelaghfogarty.bsky.social on @lbc.co.uk hates Starmer. Wishes Corbyn was still in charge because….”Starmer has taxed education” which affects her private school fees. 🤯

All the noise around the Welfare Bill - government puts forward an idea - lots don’t like it so lobby their MP. MPs make it known it needs changing - government changes it (most likely). Isn’t this democracy in action in all its messiness but actually a sign it works?

Douglas Alexander should be out in the media far more. Very impressive - despite Susanna Reid’s constant interruptions and not letting him finish.

This Welfare Bill stuff is Starmer’s Tuition Fees moment. Early in his premiership Blair introduced means tested tuition fees. Right up until the day the whips thought he’d lose the vote in Parliament. The government ended up winning. No idea if Starmer’s Bill will go the same way.

I'm currently at a housing conference & it's a slightly out of body experience politically, given the vibe here is thrilled with getting £39bn + basically all they asked for in spending review. Not that govt isn't in deep trouble elsewhere but it's a striking eg of how easily the popular stuff...

What the fuck is going on? (Just going with the theme of the day!) #Israel

I sort of get this BUT if this falls taxes will have to be raised and then we’re into Labour raising taxes on working people to support those on benefits - it’s easy to find people who many feel shouldn’t be.

Piers Morgan speaking surprisingly sensibly on the BBC this morning. Who knew?
