I’ve been following her on TikTok for a while and she’s always been that girl. I’m so glad she’s on TV again!

I planned on boycotting it this year, but ended up with little choice as I was at a housewarming party which ended up as just a Eurovision watch party :/ People’s morals are just too damn flimsy, like there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism, but you can still try.

Interesting, I didn’t know that. I’d be keen to know what kids watching now think in 15-20 years time. For what it’s worth I like that Doctor Who is political and unafraid to broach these topics.

In recent years I’ve found these comments often felt a bit ham-fisted and unnatural, and I find it labouring when they describe the messaging of the episode back to me. I take your point about media literacy and the worse state of the world, but I would like the occasional escape from that. 2/2

I think for me at least, it’s more of an issue with how smooth the dialogue is, maybe I’m looking back on rtd1 with the rose-tinted glasses or childhood, but I feel like the commentary on politics came naturally in conversation, or as quick quips from the doctor. 1/2

I had the exact same issue, it just didn’t make sense to me. It all felt entirely implausible.

Have you heard of the group (I wanna say from Cambridge) who have developed a machine learning set up to produce potentials for force fields based on Ab Initio calculations. I think it’s called MACE. Idk if it would be suitable for you but worth a shot.

to a greater erosion of women’s rights. I think they’ll use the word trans to smear any woman who doesn’t follow their idea of what a woman should be. I had a look at your profile and I don’t think you’re an unreasonable person. I just encourage you to think about the real villains here.

I’m sorry that’s how you feel and appreciate how you’re protective over women’s rights. Don’t you find it odd though, that the people fighting against trans rights the hardest are people like Trump and Musk who are incredibly misogynistic? In my opinion, the push against trans rights will lead…

I don’t think I’ll change your mind but there is no trans movement, just trans people. They as a collective group cannot be harmful just by existing. I beg of you to put yourself in their shoes for just a moment.

A 25 minute talk is super impressive, congrats!

It felt superficial for the sake of putting her in the bottom, but they were fully justified in putting her there regardless of the runway. It just invalidates some of the other critiques

Like 2.5km I think. I wasn’t really keeping track

I thought exactly the same thing. I fear her time might be up next week though as I don’t see her doing well in the roast.

That’s great! At least somewhat promising that they’ll continue to collaborate with the BBC
