But is it true? Will it really happen? Very much doubt it.

You say, 'She will make grand claims about sums to be invested. We have no idea whether that will be true or not.' Based on Starmer's record, we can come to an opinion.

People on a state pension and a small company pension (so inelligible) are by no means 'millionaires'. I despise this government.

They're complicit in genocide too. I will never vote for any current MP who doesn't rebel against BOTH of these.

Exactly. Keeps one's own population in fear, so they can be controlled.

Generates a new generation that hates the USA. Which is great for MAGAs who can say, 'look they all hate us, we must repress them more.'

I'm sure that pretty much everyone who has had 'consultants' infest the company they work for will have similar experiences.

Friends' House on Euston Road had a magnificent original 'gents' in the basement. I recall an account of a special visit by a female Friend (YM Clerk, I think) before they were demolished.

No, the trains are still owned by private companies and run for profit. Those trains will be RUN by a public body, probably at a loss.

One of the masters in my grammar school was active in one of the milder Evangelical perversions. A thoroughly nasty individual. As for the ones in nastier Evangelical groups...

Rather old news. Curious it had Arabic and Russian versions but not Hebrew. I suspect it has little or no effect - either the arms go without licences or through a third country and the government turns a blind eye in either case.

But elections are won on the margins. At the moment the three biggest parties are all going for a limited yet significant number of xenophobes and racists.

I read a short story 60-odd years ago. An alien 'guardian' super-race is observing the Earth and spots the first atomic bombs. "We must keep a careful watch in future", is the comment. Then they see evidence of extensive use of plastics. "They're doomed", they conclude.

I did not vote for Starmer's "My Party". To get me back to Labour the party would have to expell him, many in the cabinet and the nasty creeps lurking in the party offices.
