He’ll end up caving , insurance rates will go through the roof across the country especially states with flood insurance (aka Florida)

That’s insane coming from the fringe that claimed Biden was using the vaccine to implant chips in us

And the not so funny thing is this is all about the Nobel. He doesn’t care about peace just that he made a deal that could get him the prize. So now he’s actually pissed because Isarael is going to blow it for him

What’s their definition of “empty”….not enough racists or AI chatbots generating misinformation?

ICE could easily make their quotas if they raided all of the meat packing and chicken processing plants in the Midwest. Home Depot is small change compared to that. I wonder why they are not going there….hmmm?

What an ahole, the party that’s want to force people back to the office is saying move to bum**** Oklahoma where those jobs don’t exist

Now sho the same chart by President and not party , overlayed with total executive orders they attempted and ask Hawley if he believes presidents should be allowed to have EOs go unchecked or just democratic presidents

And in the end Miller will be the fall guy once the inevitable investigations start in a couple years. Even a pardon still compels him under subpoena to testify and exposes him to new perjury or contempt charges. ICE Barbie will not take the fall for all of this in the future.

There was never going to be enough questionable immigrants with sketchy. Backgrounds to meet the numbers for deportation they are targeting. This is just the tip of the ice berg. With Goebells Miller running the show it will get much worst in the next two years. Trump is just oblivious to it.

He’s so short sighted , the bigger picture is they should be focused on producing the chips in the US exclusively. No one wants to assemble phones here.

Just wait, 4 of SCOTUS went to Harvard Law. I’m sure they will make noise about recusals once this gets shot down there. But hey, they were fine with non recusals from Thomas and Alito for 1/6 related cases.

Of course , he couldn’t compete with the shifting landscaping of NIL when he was comfortable running a monopoly and under cutting smaller schools with his shady recruiting so lets try and take it down.

It’s just an insanely stupid talking point why is the press not countering with questions on Billionaires and tax cuts when they already have more money to last a 100 lifetimes. What sacrifices are they making
comment in response to

They need to turn those words around when they get to tax cuts. Isn’t 1 billion enough to live on, do you really need more money

I think they miss the mark on the follow up. It should be are small businesses going to be ok, when instead of selling 3000 dolls they only sell 500. Is Walmart or Amazon ok with selling 2 million dolls instead of 10 million. Dolls are a stupid placeholder for all of the other impacted goods
comment in response to
post
Someone should have followed up with what about the stores including the small businesses that sell things like this, are they on with selling less. The press needs to focus on those stories because the impact to small businesses will be devastating instead of our kids sacrificing buying more

How much money did they waste on that….its reminding of medieval times with heads on pikes. It is backfiring in a major way.

MAHA is bullshit. It wasn’t too long ago that we had a First Lady who tried to reform school lunches and advocated for children’s health. The GOP mocked her and told her to mind her own business with their kids health

Agree, most likely he won’t but let’s hope as sad as it sounds, that he’s done enough damage that his level of support to hang on won’t be there. But yes, he’ll have a last days in the bunker mentality surrounded by his die hard like Miller pushing him on.

Yes, he really is a two year President whose incompetence will continue to be exposed to the reluctant ones that supported him. The house will definitely flip and keep him neutered for the last two years. The shock of him winning is wearing off and resistance 2.0 is coming together.

Give him a break he has busy schedule following Ovi and Gretzky around. Now that the record is broken he should have more time
comment in response to

I’m still trying to understand if someone around him convinced him this was good policy or he just has this stupid pre industrial concept of the 1800’s where he thinks all this money is going to come in and we’ll stop being a government that provides for the people. Either one is insane

The next steps needs to be judicial enforcement or legal fines against DOJ. They might no be able to get to Trump but if the DOJ continues to refuse they need to threaten disbarment-when their licenses are threatened maybe that will enough of their attention

Who cares, Bronny’s performance is on average the same as most 2nd and 3rd rounders. No one is scrutinizing the below average play of those picks. Does anyone question Giannis having his brother on the team

He’s going to be a media star or is making the calculation of addtion with subtraction- either tacking to the center independent but is aware he would need the further left for a primary? Unless he’s thinking independent with the ones that left the GOP

Generally though, what drives conservatives to listen that much to podcasts. ie. what are they doing that have all this time to listen to pods? Mostly retired, unemployed, bored at work or disaffected incels that have all this time to marinate in this stuff?

All this crap about Canada is just a distraction. It will never happen, even at the remote chance it would how would it happen? Plus you would have to incorporate 39 milllion new citizens which would be about 50 electoral votes that would never go to the GOP. It’s pure BS
comment in response to

I don’t get the handwringing, as the other posts have said the best chances are to broaden the reach to the most unlikely places - staying in a silo and shunning the other party won’t get it done.

He’s not that smart for options 2, someone out it in his head about McKinley and that’s all he knows are the basics. He didn’t study or read anything about him. All he knows is that his actions swing markets and he and his rich friends can swoop in on the sell offs and ride it back up.

Exactly, except if he was president in 1865, somehow Jefferson Davis would not need any cards.
comment in response to

Yes, imagine if FDR took the same approach to Churchill and Degaulle, where would we be now. I also doubt Trump would have told Jefferson Davis that he does not hold any cards.

It’s going to be worst then his supporters imagine. All Europe and Canada needs to do is stop buying American which will happen, GDP is going to start collapsing by the the 3Q. Farmers, middle America will be screwed. There is no place to offset that.

Trump might not last four years he is showing his age and decline, I would say at least 30% chance he is incapacitated (stroke or something else that they won’t be able to hide) in the next two years. Then a power vacuum as several will try to claim the MAGA crown, factions and splintering.

Anyone checking on the voters in Dearborn that were so mad at Biden and Harris that they sat this one out. The ones who thought what could possibly be worse? Representative Khan reeling what she sows.

Two years from now he’ll still be blaming Biden. After he has replaced everyone and cut the federal workforce which includes the FAA. He’s already bored, he just wanted to stay out of jail but now realizes he actually has to do work.
comment in response to

All he has is the BS rebranding , renaming , symbolic deportations in blue states -smoke and mirrors. His EOs does nothing to lower prices or fix issues he promised. This act can go only go so far if inflation and job growth sputters. Right now it is all about him that will not be tenable.

I think the traditional gauges don’t apply. A lot of us went dark, left X, MSNBC for now, etc. It will regroup and reform into something bigger after a year of this - something will happen either economically or social impact. We need vocal
Opposition other then Shumer to take the lead.

Will be interesting to see the repsonse. Tons of money invested and cozying up to Trump for a reason maybe for a future block, win win for those involved right down to big oil and gas. Lose Lose for everyday folks that will pay the price literally and figuratively
comment in response to

The fools who voted for him deserve it. The only thing good is that each day is one day less he will be here. He also can’t cheat death or dementia which is coming for him soon, he doesn’t have time on his side to enjoy anything he might gain in wealth….
comment in response to

True but they cannot hide how everyday life will be for the people that voted for him. If prices go up , housing , jobs don’t improve there will be no disinformation that can change that

I think that’s exactly the back room deal they made. Trumps only motivation was to stay out jail and go after his enemies. He has no real interest in the day to day business, he’s going to defer all that to Musk.

The fun part is he’s going to have to suck it up. He took his money and is likely the reason he won.

He saw what happened to Casey and has now pivoted further center , far more then what he was when he campaigned.
