Saw them at Burn Bright back in Feb and was on the fence prior to the show but was blown away. And the new album is so good!

I could have watched you discuss RMV for another 30 minutes, even if I understand that would have sparked a mental unraveling

Scarface feels way too low on this poster but also I would have been 8 when this show happened so I'm probably not the proper judge

Why bother trying to find the secret Gin Blossoms song when you could just weird everyone at the bar out by playing "My Fathers Eyes"?

This and "The Music Or The Misery" were both so good, should have just been a 15 track record

Where would "(Splash) Turn Twist" go in these rankings? Or are we strictly by the books no Japanese bonus tracks allowed?

You got Art to mention Colorfinger, which will continue to feed my hope that someday, I will be able to own proper versions of those songs. For now, 25 year old mp3s from Napster will have to suffice

I do not care for most of Gusters music. But after this? I fucking love Guster

The section on Everclear was great. It's rare to be able to read actual critical appraisal of music that I have such a deep appreciation for, as it feels like that whole pop-rock era of the late 90s is generally just a punchline. Two thumbs up!

I had to rewind my TV to make sure I heard it correctly. Glad I didn't hallucinate it

Saw them at Burn Bright and I always thought they were alright but after that set, oooo boy I am excited to hear this album tonight

I need the oral history of why Hey Mister by Custom is so good but also somehow the worst

Now we just need a dog that looks like a promo pic of Jonathan Davis

The wife and I already have the new oyster bar in Tosa lined up for our next date night but holy cow this looks great and will be right after that! Had never heard of the Bread House before

Fuuuuuck this is a great answer. To sing "Disconnect Disconnect" in the pit with a bunch of other people would fix me

That was always the vibe I got as well from reading interviews. But there are those of us out here who love Northstar and Cassino and know those two worlds could coexist. So I always hold out hope no matter how misguided ha

My white whale is Northstar. I thought maybe there'd be some 20th anniversary shows for Pollyanna last year but alas. Lucky I got to see them once

Green Day if only for the novelty because Insomniac should not exist on tape. That is a record you buy on CD and that is it

In 2007 I saw HRC play an acoustic set in a tent at Warped Tour and I specifically remember them playing "45s" and that high has lasted me the 18 years since

Please do not leave out that my guy Ryan Key from Yellowcard was trying his best!
comment in response to post
I like to imagine this as they both got high and now Billy is trying to explain the plot of the Machina albums and Burr thinks he can escape having to hear it if he just sinks further into the chair

I see a post about Moneen, I respond and say "Moneen fucking ruled", then I wish I could be transported back to see them live again...regular as clockwork

A shirt for the 2014 Counting Crows record is a wild find. Hell yeah

Has anyone made a "The Book Of Hand-Job" joke yet?

Hopefully they don't mess with the Deer District locale too much, best place to grab a beer and wait out the traffic after a game Also I'd never heard of The Explorium prior to this so this news makes zero sense to me

I know in my brain that Braid has the better discography, but Hey Mercedes wrote "Roulette Systems" so my heart wants to give it to them

Alternate reality version of Drive Me Crazy where Adrian Griener turns his next door neighbor MJH into a hot nu metal chick

The Reverse Mitski sounds like a sex move you are only legally allowed to perform if you've been part of an album that got a 6.9+ on Pitchfork

See I feel that Buckcherry gets unfairly hated, who have also been a critical punchline for their whole existence. But I understand enjoying Buckcherry and disliking Nickelback is a weird line in the sand to draw on my part ha
comment in response to post
The critics were right about Nickelback. There is no reappraisal necessary, they are a terrible band and always have been. And I say this as someone who has a soft spot for the early to mid 00s butt rock sound and the bands it produced

Plan to go through the thread slowly and started with this and my goodness, this shit is great
comment in response to post
They sure did, August 2004 at Mad Planet. Murder By Death played as well. I was also there! Don't recall ever hearing of The Mustn'ts before but I am intrigued

Holy shit, I saw these guys open for Cartel/Cobra Starship/Boys Like Girls in 2007 and remember liking the album but have not thought about them in YEARS. Guess I know what I'm revisiting tonight
comment in response to post
If you were a part of the punk/emo/whatever scene in Milwaukee in the mid 00s, you saw The Response at least one time. Great dudes and I'm still mad they didn't get bigger open.spotify.com/album/17Z5NV...

Is Rick Ross...not the biggest name on the bill? Or am I just severly overestimating Ricky Rozays popularity?
