Exactly. The agreement between Denmark and Greenland from 1951 allows the USA to have as many bases in Greenland as they want. They already have full control. They are definitely after grabbing Greenland’s natural resources. Nothing else makes sense.

The other way around. There was absolutely nobody wanting to meet her in Nuuk and in Sisimiut there would be a silent protest (everyone turning their backs at her). So the VP stepped in and announced he would join her. I suppose trying to do some damage control.
