It won’t happen. It’s past the point of no return. It’d be to the detriment of the club if he came back. He’d have a few good performances, results would be up & down, fans would pile on Amorim, he gets sacked, and everybody stays for the new manager. Rinse and repeat.

He would have to play striker or wingback for Amorim. His recent years at striker have been dreadful but it wouldn’t matter because United strikers haven’t gotten service in years. God knows what he’d look like at wingback when he’d have to actually track back and put in a shift every match.

Hojlund and Zirkzee don’t get any service. The only one capable of any great service is Bruno but he either tries Hollywood balls that rarely work or sprays passes to the wingers who never service the striker effectively. Rashford apparently doesn’t train hard which is a nail in the coffin for him

This is probably the first time since the Mourinho days that any United manager had the guts to say how he really felt about players. Many of those players have sacked three managers. These players know exactly what they are doing. They down tools and get people sacked to save their jobs.

I see it more as Amorim hitting back at Rashford’s entourage and trying to kill of the sphere of influence he has with his clique inside the dressing room. Let’s be honest and understand that most of the leaks are coming from that circle. If Rashford wasn’t a Manc he’d been gone years ago.

Blame the English media for trying to force Rashford back into the United team.

I believe the org really likes Shaw at 3rd (I’d imagine that is where he’ll end up playing)and Busch at 1st so I’m not sure they’ll move in for either of them unless they move on from Nico or can get a perceived bargain for Pete.

Hopefully he can be a nice bridge to a younger, high level closer. Not hating this move at all especially with Houston pitching in on the contract but hopefully we can grow a closer in the minors.
