And while you at it,
Labour makes U-turn.
Or, Labour’s intransigence means it never listens to its MPs
Pick one.

Perhaps Lady Macbeth?
Possibly Cornwall from King Lear (you know, the that gouged out Gloucester’s eyes with his bare hands)?

There is just the faintest whiff of Joseph Mengele about this man. His vanity rather than compassion and valuing human life and dignity.

I think she has just discovered that she has an opposable thumb. This is just the beginning for her. Who knows, maybe she will start using fire any day soon.

Not personal no. But I did see a few clients with epilepsy. I did not mean to diminish your son’s condition. I apologise if I misinterpreted your comment and that is how it came across.

There are lots of railcards. I often use my “ two together”. It is not a benefit. Neither is PIP an out of work benefit. It is intended to finance the extra financial burden incurred as a result of disability/ illness. It is not means tested.

It will depend on the severity of the disability. For example, if your have severe epilepsy attacks once or more times a day, then your mobility is more severely restricted than say 2-3 times a year. That’s why the assessment is so protracted. I’m pleased to hear you son’s life sounds good.

Contact your local CAB for advice ( says an ex-CAB advisor).

Schrödinger’s non-doms; they are both here and not here depending on if they are observed by HRMC.

So, they understand that the immune system is important and needs to be “boosted”. But they don’t accept the science that underpins how it works and refuse to do the boosting that would make a difference. 🤷🤦♂️

It’s Israel not Canada that should become the 51st state. After all it seems that Israel is in charge of the US government.

I don’t read this as an endorsement. Even his most ardent critics would acknowledge that Starmer is a master at bland. This is bland neutrality. He cannot condemn Trump without appearing to side with the Iranian regime and they really are not nice people.

Depends on how many funding rounds and what sort of preferences are attached to them. It’s not unusual for founders to go empty handed even if the eventual sale of their company is “successful”.

Good on you. 32 years after I got my PhD ( biochemistry) I went back to Uni to get a degree in law. Graduated 3 years later. Best thing I ever did. Like so much, education is wasted on the young 🙃

Why do so many people think they will be the exception? Everyone outside his family that takes Trump’s shilling ends up being destroyed one way or another

Why on earth would you put a travel ban on people from Bhutan? A Buddhist kingdom that measures gross domestic happiness its key economic metric. The most dangerous thing in the kingdom is their national dish - chillies in cheese sauce.

When I was a CAB advisor we had a client who had learning difficulties and had
got shares when British Gas was sold. His consistent worry was if his benefits would stop because their value had gone up putting him over the qualifying capital threshold. Think of him when people talk of wealth tax

Seems to me it’s the best and quickest way to ensure that Iran do develop a nuclear weapon.

This sort of properly grown up politics gives me hope. In this area at least Starmer has got it absolutely right. Give me effective managerialism over vacuous ideology every day.

Just ‘cos it ain’t written down ( ie codified) don’t mean it don’t exist. And, I would posit that our US friends are not that sure that a fully codified constitution is worth shit if you have and orange nacicist in charge.

You can have a fantastically rich cultural life based on live performances (unless you are based in London and don’t happen to be a millionaire).

I wonder if you have seen this from the preeminent science journal Nature. Published in the late 90s. Back in the day I tried most of the realistic ones.

As I sit here in Manchester, I look out on the tower cranes putting up flats where there were 'surface car parks'. Saw some great jazz last night and walked back through a city buzzing with life. Very noticeable that there are far fewer rough sleepers.

How you can you sign up to a policy that is subject to a “review “ that is yet to happen?
Ed Davey will be enjoying his breakfast this morning.
