I know your pain. Blame the Umbrella Academy, it's their bloody fault. 😝

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ As I said, I cannot help myself. It's compulsive, and I've honest to god tried to stop, but can't.

I truly cannot help myself - every time a Tesla drives past on the road, my brain starts singing "Swasti-car, doodoodoododododo, Swasti-car, doodoodoododododo, Swasti-car, doodoodoododododo, oh!" to the tune of Baby shark on eternal loop until it's out of sight πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ sometimes I sing along out loud..🀣

I usually prefer fantasy, but am really excited when I stumble across sci-fi etc in this feed that I would enjoy (which I wouldn't have seen if the feeds were separate, because why would I subscribe to a sci-fi feed?). I wish the romantasy was separate, tho, for the nsfw covers.

Weil emigriert freue ich mich sehr ΓΌber den anonymen Nachbarn, dier deren deutsche Hausbibliotheke seit Jahren beim Verschenktisch bei meiner lokalen Osloer Bibliotheke hinterlΓ€sst. Die Person hat echt gute Lesegewohnheiten! ❀ Sonst schummelkaufe ich deutsche eBooks bei Thalia... πŸ˜…

Oh, someone give the man a tiny violin. πŸ™„πŸ˜«

Kaufe jetzt eig nur bei Thalia oder englische Webseiten wie ebooks.com

Heck, yeah. I did emotionally felt too many lit courses while studying. Lost my lifelong habit of reading fiction and my attention span because I had text/ word fatigue and only had time to read texts I did not choose to read. I'm teaching myself to finish reading fiction for fun again (hard work!πŸ˜…)

It's deffo not going anywhere! πŸ˜‚ Norwegian news report it is unlikely to be moving much until after the weekend at best…

And even better; the person in charge of sailing the ship had fallen asleep on the bridge. They must be very embarrassed! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
comment in response to post
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ They've now LITERALLY called in the army. The ship is stuck, and they risk a mud slide pulling it out. Ded, laughing since yesterday. Can't stop. Halp. 🀣🀣🀣

When I saw the thing about the crew in the evening news, it broke my mind. I went about my evening breaking out into intermittent lmao cackling, absolutely helpless and unable to stop. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
comment in response to post
The Norwegian news coverage on this is *hysterically funny*… I've been cackling all evening πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Clicker training has helped with communication with my cat. But the other way would be awesome! (Until it turns out he is almost exclusively begging for food scraps or something, lol)

😱😱. Thanks for the warning, now I need a real alternative to an Android phone more than ever (and no, I don't do Apple/Microsoft, either)... that is f-ing creepy! No way.

Holy crap, I would have such a problem, mine is in the family archive under the watchful eyes of the gentle archivist known as my mother. πŸ˜… This crap is cray, peeps. I already mourn not being able to go on vacation to the UK anymore.

Oh! This thing keeps getting better. (Read: worse. ) The campaign was apparently paid for by a rich industry magnate with ties to Russia and expressed sympathies for the country. He currently lives in Russia. Yeah. That is Russian propaganda, right there.

πŸ™ˆπŸ™‰πŸ™Š... (Also, if they object to that description, they are also totally acting like an SA SchlΓ€gertruppe. Even less flattering? Here ya go, happy to be of assistance. Liebe Grüße from across the pond. )

Yeah, that one, thanks πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

This is why you should always have a gun in polar bear country (see: anyone who lives at Svalbard). That is just dumb and shows Arctic life incompetence. (Sigh, tourists.) It's just as dumb, in fact, as attempting to pet a moose. πŸ™„

It's good you seem to be supporting trans people, but... uh. Cultural studies research and academic literature interpretation (=humanities/ science) does not support your ideas. You can believe whatever makes you happy, but respectfully, I don't even know what to say to that.

Not from the UK: is there really an alternative, though? I mean, Badenoch is obviously worse...? Genuinely interested!

Guys, this is unfortunately not true, and has been debunked as a construct. The Pope ne er said anything to support the concept of "woke thinking". Check out the link in my post, screenshot added for quick reference. Fact check before posting, please.

As an academic, I studied German dictatorships. I remember the DDR as a child, and my mother saw it from the inside. The deviousness of building walls inside people's minds to conquer them by quiet submission is visibly happening in the US. Once people stop caring, they've won.
comment in response to post
Unfortunately, we see the typical signs of the culture of authocracy building up in the US as well. The US already shows points of comparison with the DDR. Exceptionalism, claims of superiour civilisation & modernity, group think and silencing, lack of trust between people, misuse of ideology...

Not at all. One pair to wear (usually not the pair you expect to wear), one pair to lend to someone else who forgot theirs and the one pair you without fail manage to misplace, lose or forget at the pool...

Oh yeah. We went back to handwritten assignments done the traditional way in foreign language tests with pupils being watched in the classroom. They had a bit of a panic when told to use physical dictionaries, they had never seen one up to that point before. I had to teach them how to use it, too.

Thank you for sharing, now I am happy I boycotted them after the US election, and deffo won't be coming back. Djeez, that sucks major donkey's balls.

Temporarily because I've studied enough history at university to know the pendulum will swing the other way... eventually. *sigh* I think we're in for uh, a historically interesting period, though (unfortunately 😩).

Haha, I might just have lost faith in humanity temporarily πŸ˜…

I'm sorry, I might not have had enough coffee yet, or be too culturally German, but this is a joke, right? You don't actually believe this? 🀨😨 The entire "let's let the whities in but not actual refugees" is obv racist bs, but... This story is older than the witch burnings. *scratches head confused*
comment in response to post
No offence meant, but culturally, that's just so odd to me. I remember Norwegian banks had checks when I was like, five, but the only people who used them were people who wanted to show off how much money they had (stereotype) or indeed, Americans. πŸ˜… I haven't seen one in 30+ years...

Okay, if you're trans, will you then agree that also intersex, nonbinary and trans guys might have perspectives on womens' issues that are just as valid as that of a cis or trans woman?
comment in response to post
You're mixing up clothing policing and discussing a fantasy image. I didn't say you can't wear anything you like. I did, when I was younger. You're also assuming things about me, btw. Let's call it a misunderstanding.

80s stereotypes were hella toxic to all genders, tho (I remember). I think it's okay to play around with stuff as long as one sees the potentially problematic sides of the initial inspiration, and is handling that in a thoughtful way instead of just reproducing stereotypes.

Hey man, I'm not attacking your friend. As a musician, tho, I know I would always be interested in other ways than my own of how my music and outer expression comes across, because that's important for a lot of things. I'm sure she is a lovely person.
