Happy Soupturday! Today, I'm revising the chapter I rewrote, and once that's done, I'll probably go over it once more to be on the safe side. Once that's done, it's just the rest of the book left.

It's my birthday, and I've heard I'm legally required to ask for shares of my art 👀💙

From: At the Road's End Fire and moonlight. Cheers and whistles from the crowd tried to fill the emptiness left behind when the music stopped. Here and there, people waved lighters and cell phones in the air. #WIPSnips

From: At The Road's End Then, they just stood there. Paivi, nearly a head taller, crushing Toini to her chest. Toini, tense and uncertain, arms straight as sticks at her sides. Breath shallow and too fast. Legs shaking. #WIPSnips (Toini doesn't like to get hugged)

Good Morning! #SameCanalEveryMorning

From: At the Road's End Toini’s first instinct was to respond in kind. A threat, a challenge, or a reminder of who she was or what she’d done, but she bit back and stopped herself. It probably wouldn’t have sounded very cool anyway. #WIPSnips

Today is the day! And to celebrate, No Heart for a Thief, No Safe Haven, and Don't Bloody the Black Flag are all $0.99! 🔗👇

Stubborn refusal to conform to society's expectations or airheaded absentmindedness? Either way, I just missed my bus because I didn't run the last 15 meters. Either way, there's another one in a little bit, so let's go with the first option. It sounds more rebellious.

Maybe I should put back some of those filler words I've been removing as part of editing? ;)

Sometimes "just delete it and start over" is the best writing advice I can give myself - usually after I've tried everything else.

From: At the Road's End The burning seed blew Toini’s mind wide open, and the forest rushed into her. Every bird and every moose. Every gurgling stream and whispering wind. Every rabbit, every boar. Every snake and every flower. The moss on the trees and the worms in the dirt. #WIPSnips

It's my birthday weekend! I'm doing a special sale over on Itch until the end of the month. The Infernal Contracts is my first completed series and you can grab all of them for $4.99! itch.io/s/154333/bir... 💙📚

The apartment is too warm. Fortunately, I found a nice shaded spot around the corner to set up with my camping chair. Close enough I'm still connected to my home WiFi. :D

From: At the Road's End Someone who believed in law and order. Who believed in justice and equality, hard work and discipline. A young woman who wanted to defend her country and who jumped at a chance to join the peace keeping forces and help bring stability to regions ravaged by war. #WIPSnips

#PretendPanel I believe my books (all of them, but particularly Lost Dogs) would work best as a low pace, realistic-ish anime. The kind that shows long sweeping panoramas while characters have serious conversations. Something that's adjacent to real, but still distinctly not.

If I make protein balls but flavour them with whiskey, does that defeat the purpose of trying to make a post-gym snack?

This rewrite is somehow both way off its course and still on target. Funny how tgat goes a lot of the time.

I'm sure this doesn't come as a surprise to anyone, but it's good to see there being research on it. My current take is that the journey is more important than the destination, and that using AI allows you to cut the journey and skip directly to the destination.
