I think gun owners should have to buy liability insurance. I case managed some people disabled by guns and if you don’t care about the suffering, it’s a huge expense for taxpayers.

Early in the COVID pandemic some MAGA’s were talking about ‘thinning the herd’ and speculating that old people didn’t count for much anyway.

Jason Ng, in 2008, one town over from where I live. His only crime was an expired visa. He leaves a widow and 2 American children.

I was listening to a lecture by a historian who was researching the slave history of her ancestors. She was visiting city halls where they lived for records and places they worked. I realized that research involves work, not just skimming websites for secondhand information of unclear accuracy.

Nope. She had her good actions as governor but also a lot of baggage- UHIP where the social services were messed up, a pension crisis, long term problems that didn’t get better like housing- all this would come up.

And not to say, ‘you should take the bus’ as if that’s easy. Buses are infrequent, unreliable and blocks away in a lot of places. I’m not planning to be a terror on the roads when I’m 90.

It’s wrong that most Americans don’t have a good alternative to driving for things we think we have to do, and sometimes are under pressure to work sick. A lot of people on heavy meds have no way to get through their life without driving.
