Sorry you're dealing with this.

I remember vision tests but not color blindness tests.

Im no expert but it seems like advance notice of where traffic lights might be out could be a good thing. From a safety perspective.

Yum.

I don't remember being tested for color blindness.

As a transplant, I am intrigued by all of this. Baton Rouge Mardi Gras drama is not nearby this convoluted. 😂

I saw this cartoon today when I waiting on my car.

I'm in Metry currently. Started about half am hour ago here. Paused now.

I love a good maque choux. That all looks delicious.

How awful. Wishing her a smooth recovery.

I'm glad you stopped to check it out! It is a beautiful building.

That stairwell and dome is so gorgeous.

Yeah, I'm 55. I could take it a little better 20 years ago. I'm also more careful since I did manage to overheat myself 2 summers ago. That drought year.

I'm stealing this idea and decorating an umbrella next time.

I really don't do heat well so I didn't even try the parade. Came for the end and the rally. I caught the parade on Frenchmen and it took an impressive amount of time to pass.
comment in response to post
There was a Miata at our old complex. Much worse. 😂
comment in response to post
The parade was very long! And yeah, the crowd was all at the edge of the park in the shade.
comment in response to post
That sucks.

Same! When I picked up I told them I'll be back next weekend with friends.

It was. We haven't had the dessert yet but I'm sure it will not disappoint.

Happy weekend! We had the to-go dinner for 2 from Gabrielle for dinner. Chilling with some wine now.

Oh, we live not far from Leo's. Good to know.

Yes, I'm only in my 50s and I can't do all that in the heat. I'm planning to catch the end/rally part of No Kings. I'll try to think of a clever sign today.

I use it for pralines and to layer fudge on the container. Also sometimes for freezing things in layers.

Beautiful!

I am very grateful that I don't have wisdom teeth. I had to have teeth pulled as a tween/teen too.

After the drought 2 years ago I said I'd never complain about summer rain unless it was a major storm.

No, he cannot. Such an idiot.

I adore Elvis. This is great.

In for animal videos.

I don't do cottage cheese but I love hummus and veggies. Kimchi is a great idea.

I haven't gotten this email. Hmm.

So many places have clear bag policies now.

But they're picking other people with the same last names. First of all, that was an Abbott Elementary episode. But also, you aren't really challenging the idea that the old names were problematic if you're picking new people. So ridiculous on multiple levels.

And to be clear, I think young people today have it harder than their predecessors in many ways. But having to live in crowded apartments has been college life forever.

"They'd love to not have to live in a carved up house with not enough space. They'd love to have space to host parties that isn't a neighborhood. We were granted better." WTF? I lived in dorms all 4 years. Nobody I know had expansive private estates. We had neighbors. Lisa was fortunate indeed.

It's a classic.

We had a neighbor in BR for a while--nice older gentleman. He had moved from out in the country somewhere and thought our very suburban neighborhood was loud.

Maybe they took advantage of the streetcar finally running again. 😂
