Again, we could have spent this money on our children, our future. Instead we invested in nothing, so that we could … do what exactly?

I feel that way too. And I worry that the pain I might endure will be nothing compared to what others might endure. That is unacceptable to me.

One of my favorite murals in Portland. I get to see it every so often when driving home. Gorgeous!

Thank you for that, Sen. Warren, but have you objected to unanimous consent for procedural motions to slow Senate action to a crawl? How about quorum calls?? There is so much more to do and Democrats have failed utterly.

Whenever I call one of those bastards in congress who wear their Christianity so prominently, I remind them to read the Sermon on the Mount. “Pay attention to what Jesus said about the poor and how to treat our neighbors. Good stuff. Have a blessed day.” And I mean it all.

My home bound neighbor relies on MOW. I don’t know what she will do without them. The Trump administration has no compassion or empathy for Americans.

We need change. The rich must return the wealth they have stolen from us.

As a teacher I feel this deeply. This is real.
Cowering in a corner with 20 students, practicing being quiet when I know what we would hear is a particular form of torture.
In those moments I imagine what I would do to protect my students if a gun man burst into my room.
