Ok, I did a quick playthrough of Chapter 1 and a bit of Chapter 2 in handheld. It runs really well. Like it's night and day compared to how it was on Switch 1. I think I can notice a minor dip when a lot goes on but it's so small.

Only problem I've had have been the eShop falling to loading and then the console is basically locked til it loading or is rebooted. (Even Home Button wouldn't work)
That being said, when eShop doesn't do that. It's so fast! And I love playing S1 games on it! It fix some games for me.

So I wasn't able to get a fps checker to work. However I can with certaintly say they run way better than on Switch 1. I think I got a minor fps dip, but nothing compared to before.
It is worth pointing out that both of these are still capped at 30 fps. So won't get a fps higher than that.

I did a really short test and it felt A LOT more smooth. Gonna get a FPS checker and see if it's dropping any frames.
But first my daughter needs to fall asleep xD

Once I get my Switch 2 this will be one of the first things I test. I played through it on Switch 1 and had awful fps dips. Really hoping Switch 2 makes it better.

I mean Breath of the Wild and Tears on the Kingdom on Switch 1 is set to use more of the Switch 1. If all emulation is set to that, then some games should see a more stable fps.

Defends on how limited the emulation is but yeah. From what I heard Ys9 problems mainly stem from the engine having trouble handling what the game tries to do. Aswell as the port being subpar.
But I am gonna try regardless since I'm getting it for other games anyway ^^
