I remember Gyllenhaal getting all the attention at the time because Jack was the extrovert -- and he's great too -- but the subtlety Ledger brings to Ennis, the flashes of shame and guilt in his body contrasting with the yearning in his eyes, is unlike anything I've ever seen.
