it might be easier to go play it in the base game because you get upgrades to your wheels that give you better rolls and allow you to get 3 diamonds or squares in one of the rolls!
The DLC wheels games are more difficult since warlock is pretty powerful

the layout makes sense since it's mostly alphabetical but boy is it hilarious that the heavy section on character death is immediately followed by "here's the many kinds of doors you might encounter"

Pretty good! lots of quality of life adjustments and alternative/simplified versions of game rules that can be used, still mechanically dense but alot easier to pick up start running with in a campaign
