For Juneteenth I brewed up a gallon of hibiscus 🌺 punch/agua de jamaica/sorrel/bissap/sobalo/zobo. As a kid my mom used to make agua de jamaica from kool-aid like powder from a Mexican store every summer. It is one of the canonical aguas frescas in Mexican cuisine.

It's the time of year when crêpe myrtle or Lagerstroemia bloom in the southeastern United States. This is just the Louisiana pink variety/species I think, I have seen Lagerstroemia with white flowers around town too #bloomscrolling
