I had a discussion with a neighbor about the current political situation, and he seemed angry. I was not angry, but sad about people being hurt and danger to rule of law. Anger and looking for scapegoats is the engine behind our deep divisions. I love my neighbor. Let's have more love, less anger!

I have studiously avoided Twitter/X because I believe it has done the most pernicious thing to our political discourse---reduced what should be a serious discussion to a series of cheap shots. I spend very little time on social media, but I just joined this platform in the hope it will be better.
