FIX: Because sign(0) = 0, the quoted never generates sin=+-1, cos=0. That also happened to dodge inf/nan case for reciprocal sqrt(), which I apparently shouldn't use anyway. So: x = (signed_byteval & ~1) / 128.0f s = sign(signed_byteval - 0.5)(1 - xx) c = ((signed_byteval & 1)2-1)sqrt(1 - s*s)
