This thread. got long. But if you stuck around to read my ramblings then treat yourself to a cookie!
Big shoutout and thanks to @kcsmell.bsky.social who did all of the art in this thread of my OCs over the past few months💜 Definitely check her work out, she's the real MVP!

aspects of their lives. Temperance is definitely the Arcana Oz fits with, as they will go through the journey of balancing these aspects in a healthy way that allows them to become an actualized person.

That all changed when they met their would-be best friend - and eventual crush - Val; a winged Tiefling who would encourage them to express themselves. This leads them down a path of self-discovery and (in a way) indulgence of their passions, which causes problems as they juggle multiple...

Finally, we have Oz, a Tiefling who I hope to play in a future campaign. Oz is overall charismatic, smart and caring, but they have always followed the path set forth for them by their family and their business. They have an artistic side, but never knew how to approach it with substance.

This is exactly how the two Aeon characters operate in the Persona series, who are unfamiliar with the world or its concepts and how it applies to them. Similarly, "Seedling" will figure out how she fits in to the world, even though she comes from a completely different one.

She is a dryad-like being that has not seen another humanoid in her life. So when she inevitably meets the party who are exploring a strange new land, she is instantly intrigued and wants to learn about them and their world, which will lead her to wonder about her own existence and purpose.

"Seedling," an NPC from my upcoming campaign, fits quite neatly into the Aeon Arcana. While the Aeon is a rare alternative for Judgement (notably in the Thoth Deck), it offers a unique perspective and commentary on the world that she finds herself in (Plus, Aeon just sounds cool)

100% Rickard falls under the Hanged Man. Without making decisions on his own, he can't grow as a person. With the help from his friends, he'll hopefully learn to face his problems head-on and, in turn, help others more by doing rather than standing by and worrying.

Next up is Rickard, an OC for a Fire Emblem Three Houses campaign I'm a part of. The sibling of Bernadetta von Varley, he is also incredibly shy and anxious. He rarely makes decisions for himself because of how scared he is of failure (this stems from their horrible father)

I flip-flopped between Sun and Star for Charlotte, but settled on Star because of her attempts to be authentic to herself. She needs to learn a little more in this critical time and decide what she really wants for herself, which will let her be even more joyful and authentic

Charlotte is easily excited over the things she loves - magic items + potions - but she hasn't talked about her past with her family at all. It just hasn't come up. She's super optimistic despite the challenges thrown the party's way, but she really doesn't know what she wants to do herself.

So! With that in place, I want to talk about my babiesðŸ˜
Charlotte is a Dark Elf artificer who has an automaton companion. She showed up halfway through my party's campaign as a follower, and they took a liking to her. Since then, she's become a good friend, and even a love interest!

being the vessel to do that. They might start off scared or resistant to change, but over the course of their adventures they learn to accept what's going on and apply it to their life in order to essentially become a new person (whether spiritually or otherwise).

With that said, I do find myself more drawn to the idea of interpreting the Arcana for my OCs as journeys in of themselves. Meaning a Death-coded character in a campaign might need to go through a spiritual journey - or death - in order to accept the change in their life, with the campaign

First off, I want to say I love the Persona series and how they approach Social Links with the various Arcana, but I am fully aware that they might not be EXACT. It's a video game so there's probably some liberties taken with the interpretations, plus it has to fit with mechanics, story, etc

The Sun NPC might be Star now that I’ve thought about it some more 😂 But idk about the styles yet! Definitely will incorporate story bits for sure
I’ll probably make a thread with some thoughts on all my little blorbos soon just so I don’t have to reply as much lol

I do, but I’m not actively looking for art of it right now. Just daydreaming! Thank you though!

Thanks for the offer! Just in the concept stages for now though. Only got as far as pairing characters with an Arcanum

Just in the concept (daydreaming lol) stages for now! Got a couple NPCs nailed down for their Arcana, and doing some deep dives for my actual characters I'd be playing :)

Still need to learn more about the suits, but the Major Arcanum are definitely on the mind! Still thinking about them all, but a couple NPCs have been narrowed down to Sun and Aeon!

Don't really have a main character atm...😠But the one active npc I have would probably be the Sun Arcana? She's does so much to help her friends but still doesn't know what exactly she wants for herself
