Starmer got elected by being neither for or against anything on a platform that promised or didn't, to make Britain a better place than he found it. Starmer has no position other than hoping that without intervention things will get better so he can't be blamed for failing. Weaker than Chamberlain.

Hell I voted Liberal because Carney is a banker/money guy. He's also clear headed, pragmatic and not overly beholden to party ideology. I'm willing to grant him some leeway.

That's the Saskatoon city council way; commit to halfway committing, lose sight of the original plan, compromise until the plan is absurd and then underfund it to death. Our Rapid plan has a dearth of dedicated bus lanes on major arteries. Congestion,confusion and chaos will be the result.
