I really enjoyed the ending. Sadly, I think that's where we are headed. With Maine having to threaten not to allow federal taxes to be paid from their state because T is threatening them with no funding... states are going to begin trying to secede.

She told me over the phone they didn't even have Tara. It was just my dead name. I was a little concerned. I was like ummm ... I have had a social card that says Tara for 5 years and my online portal says Tara as well. She put me on hold and came back minutes later to give me an appointment.

My card says Tara, the SSA site says Tara. I'm wondering if their file never got completed because they still wanted that birth certificate.

That's what I'm banking on. That the clerks are good and have dealt with this plenty already and understand. I'm worried because I changed my name 5 years ago with them. My card has said Tara for 5 years. The marker needed my birth cert. They said over the phone they still had my old name listed. 👀

I have an appointment Monday to get my marker corrected with social security. All of my docs say female. Hopefully it's just treated as a correction. Birth certificate even says it.
