Socialism & Fascism are words have been overused by our political parties for almost a century. See Truman's 1952 address in Syracuse. Each party wants their base believing the opposing party's center of gravity is at the extreme fringes. That manipulation becomes inconvenient when it's true.

If Verlander/Morton/Montas are getting 1-2 year deals in the 15-17 mil range I can't imagine there wouldn't be at least 1 team that would take Stro if the Yankees ate 3-4 mil. That $14 mil wiggle room would then allow them to make a move for an IF either now or at the deadline and stay below 300.
