Nope the Cascade Range of mountains includes the series of volcanoes (including Mt. St. Helens) that run north to south about a third of the way into N. Cal, OR and WA from the coast. It is heavily forested and gets lots of rain. Eastern OR, WA, ID is dry and barren sitting on the Colombia Plateau.

So when he's said, "I don't know, other people handle it," to questions from reporters, he's telling the truth.

She probably told the admin, that's not how to LoC works, and they replied, you're not how the LoC works.

That page does say the limit was put in place to protect the concrete deck and asphalt road surface and prolong the service life of the bridge. So a tank would probably tear up the road but it doesn't give the weight it would collapse at.

Looks like Hank wasn't the writer or presenter for that episode. I saw one comment saying the writer was a trans man. Not that he isn't ultimately responsible as the owner of the company but there's controversy over the controversy.

They were giving people letters in English telling them they were being deported because they were in a gang with 12 hr notice with nothing telling them how to object and claiming that satisfied the SCOTUS order of due process. I guess we'll find out tomorrow how they interpret this clear order.

Remember Jamal Khashoggi and the wrath of the next Democratic administration? "On 18 November 2022, the Biden administration provided a legal opinion that Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman holds immunity over his alleged role in Khashoggi's assassination."

As Sotomayor wrote, the right thing would have been to not intervene in the case. He's been there for 3 more days at this point, who knows how much longer they'll delay facilitating but not effectuating.

I didn't realize payments for imprisoning people indefinitely who haven't had due process counted as foreign aid.

There's a monthly paint night at my local shop which seems welcoming but it's been mainly d&d people. Wargamers haven't even shown up at the shop until the last month or so. Maybe that has helped?

Gah, they gave me 60 days. "To get paid and start selling again, you’ll need to upload a legal document (like a government-issued ID) confirming your identity in the next 60 days" Awful 😟
