Social Democrats were originally reformist socialist and pushed those programs as part of reforms. Brandt, Attlee, Kreisky etc all identified as such.
So still very much leftist policies.
Long story, short: Soc-Dems turned more centre-left.

American workers were struggling when D. Roosevelt came around. Guy was a populist left-liberal and the workers gravitated to him and Ds. 4 landslides and Ds had 6 decades of full or partial control over congress.
The lesson is more so that the worker listens to the populist. Obama did it in ‘08.

Olof Palme was reforming Sweden into a democratic socialist country but he was killed before he could finalize it. That is a better example.

The Swedish PM Olof Palme was the closest to achieving democratic socialism in a Western country but he was assassinated before he was able to finish it, probably because he was a socialist.

Yeah, then look up ProtonDB for the games. They have user reports with specified Proton versions and a few options in case there are any problems.
In my experience all the offline games work perfectly, I use Proton Experimental.

Lutris makes it easy to get games to run (e.g. it has installer scripts) via Wine.
