Is Fanduel offering odds on disgraced former MLB umpire Angel Campos being charged with a gambling-related crime for his actions during the College World Series? Is Campos directly on Fanduel's payroll? Or is he more of a Draft Kings guy? Exceptional work as always, NCAA!

Mearsheimer and Walt published this in 2007 and were called antisemitic for it. Few books about foreign policy have ever been more correct. No one can say ā€œweā€ didn’t know what was happening. Now the Israeli regime finally got what it wanted most and lots more people are going to die.

The restoration of Oakmont is incredible. Great shots get rewarded, good shots make pars, bad shots get punished, and dumb shots put players in golf jail. A proper test without gimmicks. And it looks gorgeous on TV.

Bryson DeChambeau’s new LA Golf irons look great and seem to be performing well so far (in a very small sample), but I’m surprised he still has the same four wedges in the bag. His 46° & 50° clubs seem like the biggest culprits in his approach struggles… why not include those lofts in the new irons?

Erin Hills is such a beautiful golf course & USA Network’s coverage has been excellent. Kudos, USGA!

I know it sucks to be a Pirates fan, but getting to watch Oneil Cruz every day must be amazing. If there was a Most Entertaining Player Award, he’d get my vote.

Important Clarification: When I said the Brewers needed a 1997 Easton to save their season, I was referring to this 33ā€ Easton Reflex Extended C405 Ultra — not the 6’7ā€ Easton McGee.

Three essentially unbirdiable finishing holes is terrible course design. Yes, there’s a risk of double bogeys — but not a big one if the leader(s) can play conservatively. Eliminates the drama that makes Augusta, Sawgrass, Pebble, Phoenix, etc. such entertaining tournament courses.

Bryson’s new look reminds me of a roided up mid-90s replacement level third baseman who made extra money in the offseason as an extra on Little Big League. It’s not ā€œgood,ā€ but it’s perfect for him.

Quail Hollow sucks. Really long par fours aren’t fun to watch just because they are long. Absurdly long par threes are extremely boring. There are so many iconic courses in the US; this is not one of them.

As far as things we take for granted that will come to seem insane to people in the future are concerned, the concept that you are allowed to accrue literally unlimited amounts of money as an individual — even $1 trillion and more, if you can make it there — is probably high on the list.

The Philadelphia Cricket Club is a great course that looks awesome on TV and should host a PGA tour event every year.

In game one of the Soullessly Efficient Baseball Series, Stuart Steinberg’s Rays extracted one additional run of value from the workers under their contractual control than did Mark Attanasio’s Brewers. No service time was granted beyond the minimum required. Payroll flexibility remains optimal.

This persistent foul grifting by and against Jokic is unbecoming of such exceptional basketball teams.

It is truly astonishing how much contact NBA officials allow against Giannis without calling a foul. He is constantly pushed, slapped, tugged, held, and jabbed with no whistle. If he was officiated like a Laker, he’d shoot 50 free throws every game.

Jimmy Haslam is even better at ruining sports franchises than he is at enriching himself via shameless fraud and corruption, and he’s damned good at fraud.

Brook Lopez is unplayable against the Pacers. Jericho Sims needs a lot more minutes… the Bucks’ zone scheme just doesn’t work without him.

If we were conquered and under hostile occupation, what would the government do differently? Would an occupation government that wanted to crush the United States as a vibrant, prosperous country with influence around the world do anything differently?

If the Brewers can just get five innings from Jake Bauers today they might be able to get through a bullpen game in the home opener. Dire.

Any chance the White Sox would give Walker McKinven back to the Brewers in exchange for Nestor Cortes? We need our run prevention coordinator back.

you often see partisan political cheerleading compared to sports, but most sports fans i've met usually have some opinions about the tactics of their favorite team, or are even willing to criticize the management when they make bad calls. political cheerleaders are less sophisticated than that

"Listen, I’d love it if we could create a society that worked perfectly for everyone, but that’s not the reality we live in. In real life, you have to make choices—choices that lead to terrible outcomes for everyone."

Jeffrey Goldberg thinking he was being pranked and then realizing he was actually just in the war plans group chat is such a good microcosm of how it feels to be alive right now, everything seems fake until you realize it’s actually real and incredibly stupid

Viktor Hovland's game is a beautiful disaster. From hole to hole, he'll either have no idea where it's going or he'll shape a 5 iron to 10 feet. He's Jordan Speith without the short game but with better ball striking. Highly entertaining!

As a Senator, I serve a cause higher than what my constituents might "want," or the interests of the labor unions that support my party, or even the continued function of the republic itself. And that cause is uh... hmm this is embarrassing. Wow. I definitely had it written down. On a post-it. Haha.

This guy is a billionaire. If he can speak plainly and clearly like this, why can’t ā€œregularā€ Democratic politicians? And why isn’t the Democratic Party running this kind of simple, plain-spoken message on TV ads non-stop? Rooting for the ā€œgood billionaireā€ is foolish, but c’mon… this isn’t hard!

Why is CBS’s golf coverage so much better than NBC’s? They have better commentators, better cameras, better shot tracking technology, better graphics, and better fluidity/continuity even though they saturate the broadcast with the same volume of commercials. Can’t NBC just copy this stuff?
