And @skynewsrss.bsky.social usually Privileges Committee acts on consensus to decide penalty. It’s a protection. This time vote was on party lines with a slim majority thus heralding new era of future Govts inflicting way over proportion penalties on opposition. Shortsighted sad day #nzpol

It’s the effect of Truth cutting through the partisan BS.
And still they voted for injustice.
They could not reduce the suspensions which Nats Speaker Brownlee said were excessive.

Interesting the respect accorded to former speaker of the House, Labour MP Dr Rurawhe.
The raucous House went quiet.
They all heard the truth (above) & National, Act and NZ First rejected it.
They shifted boundaries.. again. Short term thinking.. again.

We have a reply - the Office of the Clerk is apparently NOT using AI to analyse the submissions - only Seymour's Ministry of Regulation is.

This may be stopped as an OIA but I wrote to the Privacy Commission and the [email protected] with some questions in any case. They will think we are overly suspicious, but this is the first real test of such technology and it needs to be right.
