I wonder if we add up the cost of the administration and overhead of all the cooling centers, how many months of rent can we pay in AC cooled accessible housing?
Time and time again, " giving away " housing, saves us tons of money.

You don't need mines and fortifications to police a border. If Russia crosses with anything but proxy forces, NATO will turn Russia into a lake.

Some, but I don't think they have protected speech - and they definitely don't have the right to force the government to pursue what's in their best interest.

On a much smaller scale. The GO train is a similar setup. But rather than hauling them from villages from the hinterlands. We pull them from much much closer suburbs.

Necessity is the mother of innovation as well as government spending.
China has a large migrant population, and rail necessitates the whole scale mobility of them. The side effect is it also provides a nice service for the low-mid wealth and tourists. Also looks good on paper.

Exactly. If you're going to charge for service, put it in your pricing. Tipping should be optional bribery, for above and beyond or special requests.

I mean I get his first point. If the news isn't free I'm not reading it. Sure journalists have to make a living, but I also have to maintain a bank account so I don't become destitute.
But I'm not going to make a post, telling you off for trying to make a living 😂

I appreciate the positive attitude, but the mayor is no friend of progress. His view is austerity, regression, complacency to the norm.
