agreed. I presume it would be some kind of "all stock" acquisition long before MLS spins off all its teams into unique business entities. I 've no idea how the financial end of team ownership works in MLS so no idea how they'd roll in 30-some USL teams. (and please, no lectures, I don't care)

The MLS buyout will happen before USL magically overtakes them in prestige, money, or talent.
At some point the soccer war will become more expensive than the buyout and then all restaurants will be Taco Bell.

Saying USL will over-take MLS is just dumb. Even USL isn't saying that. IIRC even Big Paul said USL-D1 would be more like a Division 1.5.
My point stands. If you're dunking on guys living in team-housing with roommates, you need to take a breath.
