So: Trump violated the Posse Comitatus Act when he sent the National Guard to a scene in a state without the request of the state’s governor. He has now upped the ante with the call for Marines. He has made no provisions for the National Guard (food/accommodations) and wants the governor arrested.

I know, right? As an Aussie that shook me. Very bad optics, to say the least.

I love that this reordering gives Canada a massive dick and balls. Nice one.

Well, that escalated to secession quickly. I can certainly see the appeal at the moment.

I really hope that parade stops half way to turn their collective backs on trump. Tanks and all.
To stand in perfectly disciplined silence and stillness as he rages, until he leaves.

This affects us all, globally. This new American Dark Ages is scary.

It's hard to have a Tiananmen Square moment when the protesters are sitting quietly having a picnic. Just saying.
Plus, it's more inclusive for the disabled, to be sitting.

I really hope that military parade stops halfway, to turn their backs on him, tanks and all. And stands silently that way, perfectly disciplined, until he leaves.

Turn up, cost him that money that he will have to justify, but demonstrate that they are not his tools, and will not be used to prop up his regime.
The optics would be amazing.

Every person, tank and jeep, turned away. Then they stand their ground with perfect military discipline and silence, and remain that way, no matter what tantrums he throws, until he leaves.

I have a dream, where that military parade he's looking forward to so much marches until the halfway point, stops in front of him, and turns their collective backs to him.

Now, that's one too far. Cunts are lovely things; half of us have one.

Ohhhh, Christopher, don't do that! I love tater tots! Now when I eat them, I'll be struggling not to think about... erghh.
Not nice, Christopher, you're supposed to be freaking him out, not us.
Leave us our tots; we need comfort food, dammit.
Love your work, but tots are sacred.

The entire Harry Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Very very slow burn romance over an entire series.

I love the protest I saw recently, where it was just folks having picnics. Sitting on rugs, eating sandwiches and pies etc. There should be more of that. Great optics, takes less energy, plus pie. If your whole country stopped work to do that, in inconvenient places, miracles would happen.

Is this where you love looking at women and get the same tingly celebrity crush as from looking at a a dude, but when you try to picture the real world logistics of sexy time and private parts it's all ick?
Lucy Liu does that for me. :-)
