Trump says that any American who shows “dissension” against MAGA should be “immediately ejected” from their member of Congress’ town halls. This is fascism.

I'm attending May Day Strong's event, “May Day Strong: Standing Up for Federal Workers & Against Corporate Corruption” - sign up now to join me! www.mobilize.us/mayday/event...

Historically, members of Congress have jealously guarded their own power and prerogatives, standing the line even against presidents of their own party. But this Republican Congress just bent the knee immediately, without even a word of protest. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/05/o...

An important, essential column. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/05/o...

This is World War 3 territory. Is this what even his voters signed up for? I am in disbelief

We were just told that they won’t let us in. They are denying entry to 2 dozen members of Congress. Elon Musk has all our private information & we have no idea what he’s doing with it. This is happening completely behind closed doors. HELL NO. It’s illegal. We demand oversight!

It's all part of the 4D chess plan to win the Great Power Competition with China.

Musk Watch launched two weeks ago. Today our reporting was cited in a motion for a temporary restraining order against the Trump administration, seeking to shut down the servers Musk's associates are using to email federal workers and access sensitive government databases Muskwatch.com/subscribe

Crowd keeps growing outside Treasury as Members who were DENIED entry speak

Chris Murphy: "We have days to stop the destruction of our democracy ... we are taking back this country from Elon Musk."

He’s not wrong

We are members of Congress at the Treasury Department. We want to be let in to provide oversight on behalf of our constituents. @jasmineforus.bsky.social @sethmagaziner.bsky.social

Scene at Treasury

A total of zero votes were cast for the guy currently running America.

A 25-year-old DOGE worker named Marko Elez who has admin privileges on Treasury dept systems that control about 95% of payments made by the gov, including Social Security checks, tax refunds and contract payments "has already made extensive changes to the code base for these critical payment system"

#StopTheSteal totally needs to reappropriated to any post about Musk and his Goon(ie)s

Protesters are gathering outside of the office of Chuck Schumer, the leader of the Senate Democrats. Democratic politicians continue to vote to confirm Trump's appointees, while many are calling on them to obstruct Trump's project at every turn.

Senator Raphael Warnock ahead of the vote on RFK Jr. for HHS Secretary: "I simply do not trust him to oversee the CDC. He's unqualified, and I dare say that everybody here knows it." BOOM! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Schumer: "Today Leader Jeffries and I are joining together to push legislation to prevent unlawful meddling in the Treasury Department's payment systems and protect Americans across the country ... we call our legislation, 'stop the steal'"

By 1939, Hitler was doing his very, very best to manufacture reasons to start shooting wars with Germany's neighbors.

So much for his Hippocratic oath.

I feel like I'm living in a bad movie. The government of the most powerful nation in the world is under attack, and the nation's people don't even realize it because it's not on TV.

So this 25 year old has direct access -- read *and write* access -- to a system that makes trillions of dollars of payments a year and nobody can see what he's doing

As digital privacy advocates have explained for years, every back door you create for yourself is a front door for an attacker. There's no chance code cooked up in a week by Musk acolytes is secure. The question is when, not if, the Treasury will be compromised by hostiles beyond Musk himself.

The start of week three:

If ANYTHING needs to be torn apart from the inside out, it's not our government, IT'S FOX NEWS

"The latest executive orders and outright seizures of government agencies have one thing in common: They are patently illegal." prospect.org/politics/202...

The Bush administration is widely see as having major deficiencies/incompetencies and we saw the worst terrorist attack in US history, two catastrophic wars, and the most significant economic crash since the 1930s. They look like pros when compared to who is staffing the Trump administration.

Indivisible pushing Dem senators to use every means at their disposal to grind things to a halt while the Musk coup is ongoing. indivisible.org/resource/tel...

This is good. Tell your members of Congress to show up, too.

We are at the point of the fascist autocoup where the interim US Attorney is replying to an anonymous pro-Nazi account who wants to see someone punished for simply sharing the names of Elon Musk's lackeys who have gotten access to extremely sensitive government data systems.

There should be far more focus on the state of Musk's businesses, particularly his increasingly precarious auto business. He's gone into the business of taking over the government for a (financial) reason.

It's really disheartening that the tech media gets the urgency of the current moment and is reporting it like it is and our political media and big media institutions are just pretending like nothing is happening.

I'm sorry, but "they took over the whole federal payments system, fired the career staff, and won't let anybody see what they're doing" is not a situation in which you wait for more information. It's a situation in which you assume the worst. There's no explanation for it other than rampant crimes.

"This is a... harmful, dangerous, killer bluff. But they don't have the law on their side. If we are going to push back on this kind of autocratic behavior, it's not just members of Congress who have to stand up, & we will, it is all of us together" [email protected] in front of USAID just now

BREAKING: New lawsuit challenges Trump's anti-diversity executive orders, alleging Spending Clause, vagueness (Due Process), free speech (First Amendment), and separation of powers violations. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Congratulations to Trump on securing a $1.3 billion border security deal from Canada.... which was already negotiated in December 2024.

The media is failing abjectly in how it is framing what this administration is doing.

Congressional delegation outside USAID now: “We are here to shed a light on a crime unfolding before our eyes.”
