I loved Anthem just because I’m way too into dystopian books. It was also fun to read because it completely somehow fundamentally failed to convince me of the goodness of the authors ideas. I liked it and came out an Ayn Rand anti-fan lmao.

As someone who uses it occasionally, I have to say that it's wise to prepare people for the disappointment of the sour dirt flavored vitamins. It's okay on popcorn though.

Frankly that time she genocided an entire universe with a virus was probably a bit more troubling. Come to think of it voyager solved lots of problems with biological warfare.

The opposite is true. Grapefruit inhibits enzymes found in the liver and intestines decreasing the body’s ability to break down hormones and drugs. This can lead to unsafe levels of drug in your system. It also prevents the intestines from absorbing other drugs.

No need! Tesla products all function as individualized crematoria upon gentle impact.

I actually found Nomi when I was first coming out as a gay man around 2009ish. He was superficially comical, but his earnestness and talent forced me to respect him. I bawled out when I heard Nomi Song and its context, and I am tearing up now just thinking about it. What a loss. Fuck AIDS.

We don’t give Hilary enough credit for being the first and only person on the planet who thought Trump was bad.

There are so many things I hate about the show, but the part where doctor gets a 2nd job as ship therapist despite no training and going crazy as a season long arc and the resolution was “take a mental health day” was shocking levels of corporate shit.

Tesla has been absolutely disrupting the funeral industry by providing functionality that turns each car into an inescapable crematorium upon impact.

Totally disagree, but he should exclusively wear that outfit for the remainder of his career.

On the normal side of the war and hate that phrase, since in every case I’ve seen it invoked it’s to justify pushing insane scams and or fucked up companies or a creator annihilating their content with ads.

In the Middle East jungle, America is a powerful lion, the bad brown people are literal venomous vermin that need to be exterminated, and the guy running an active campaign of genocide is a funny little lemur guy! Lookit him go!

The true political Rorschach test is whether you think r/sinkpissers supporting trans people damages r/sinkpissers or the trans rights movement more.

It was basically a very late season of the Simpsons type of celebrity cameo, though somehow more toothless and more aggrandizing than the Simpsons episode he guested in. Made me feel better that later seasons had some of the most unfunny episodes of tv I’ve ever seen.

The issue is I was giving the show way too much credit after season one that it was self aware of how lame and bad Rick and his ideology and attitude was. The Elon Tusk episode destroyed my enjoyment of all future and past episodes instantly.

Biggest difference been Italian and American culture. SF made a building that’s falling due to corporate greed and no one is just letting themselves just like enjoy the moment you know?

Love the idea democrats are rigging elections but only in such a way that it causes a lame duck situation. Admittedly that is exactly something they would do if they could.

I grew up seeing the mighty ducks animated series about ducks from space that played hockey and had magic hockey powers and fought aliens and stuff. Renting the actual mighty ducks movie was probably the most confusing and disappointing moment of my childhood.

This is a quote from ex Israeli leader Golda Meir, from her autobiography in 70s. It’s just there to show this genocidal justification bullshit has been going on a long time and they a big playbook to choose from.

It’s been one of the most heartening things about this cycle of violence. I grew up in a very Jewish area and had tons of Jewish friends and mentors growing up that suddenly turned genocidal on mention of Palestine. Seeing a shift in these attitudes has given me more hope than I can describe.
