If bitumen transport has to be nationalized, then let’s have a debate about equity stake, revenue sharing and royalty rate at source. If we are finally admitting this resource belongs to the public in the first instance, as Lougheed often reminded us, then let’s be honest about it.

It is incredibly frustrating that there is no leadership at any level of government--year after year! This photo was downtown Edmonton June 9, 2019 with lights needed during the day. Jasper, Fort McMurray, Waterton, Slave Lake: from B.C. through to New Brunswick--our standard of living has dropped.
