Where were the bulls when this was happening? AK probably lives in a different time zone and didn’t know it was happening. Surely they have more to offer than the lakers.

I’m sorry you have to follow a league completely devoid of reason and competitive integrity. The inmates run the asylum and you get a horrible product bc of it. Can’t wait for the nba numbers to die so something will change.

Trade Zach and lonzo. A year ago both these guys were untradeable. The bulls are lucky they were able to recover some value and must strike before it’s too late.

This attitude is why the nba is dying.

I don’t think no one expected it. We expected that the bears would try hard to get him. It’s not like the jags and raiders are model orgs.

I don’t think this was a big of an upset as it’s made out to be. Both these teams had great offenses. The Lions defense is horrible. They were an over-hyped media darling.

There’s a real possibility that the bears have the best qb in the north in a couple years. Theres almost no chance the raiders have even the third best qb in their division in the same timeframe. Ben would be going there for money alone and will be looking for another job after 3 or 4 years.

Was the bears offense hampered by the conservative nature of the defense? Is it better to be hyper aggressive on D in order to get the ball back quicker? Assuming being aggressive results in TOs, sacks, or big plays for the O.

I was thinking about how the number of possessions affect an offense. Like eberflus was known for his bend, don’t break def, and it resulted in long possessions by the opp, limiting them for the bears. Would an offense epa increase with more possessions?

Does hasn’t been the same mean he’s better? Bc he couldn’t have gotten much worse then before

Why? Bc bears qbs suck? Fans don’t select them. But we know what bad qb play looks like
comment in response to post
That was the packers decision to pay an unproven qb vs upgrading the wrs. Love isn’t used to facing pressure and can’t overcome it like the best QBs can.

The Steelers make the playoffs every single year. They would be stupid to trade Tomlin. Take it from the bears who fired Lovie after a 10-6 season and have never found another HC.

Do we have any idea how long the interview was?

It’s also worth noting his pass attempts were probably the highest of all. He had about 200 more PAs than Justin’s highest year.

Vrabel isn’t the middle imo. He went to an afc championship with Ryan tannehill. He exploited a loop hole to beat belichick and Brady. The guy knows how to win.

If we get to the point where the bears OC is being hired by other teams, then that means something has gone right. We know vrabel can be an upper echelon HC. We don’t know what about any of the OCs.
comment in response to post
Vrabel never had an elite qb. The guy will do whatever it takes to win and gets the most out of his players. Hell, he fooled the bears into thinking Nate Davis was good.

Other than getting his first Lambeau start, there really isn’t a reason for Caleb to play. Coming out of this season healthy should be the main priority and he’s probably going to get pummeled.

I guess we know who the new darling of the nfl is. I wonder if it has anything to do with their new ownership 🤔

The bears have steady ownership. They’re just stupid.

Out of 530 football media outlets, the 33rd team ranks 530th.

History tells us that hiring ex-packers is never a good idea. This would feel like a John Fox-like hire. Guy who’s burnt out just looking for another paycheck
comment in response to post
Did they just play smashing pumpkins in this game? I know it’s grunge era, but they have to know that’s a Chicago band.

T brown went from next HC to gtfoh real fast.
comment in response to post
It’s insane that the 9th pick may be a 4 win team. Last year it was a 7 win team.
comment in response to post
He’s the number 1 option in the jags. Odunze is the 3rd option. You can’t really compare the two until they are in similar roles

This just goes to show the spectrum of how qbs are viewed. I heard people calling him the next drew brees and the best qb in the draft class. And now he won’t be a starter in 3 years.
comment in response to post
It’s not about the amount of flags, but the variety. Nobody is complaining at the ref when a false start or offsides is called. But when a qb under throws a ball by several yards and a db gets called for PI for it, that becomes frustrating. PI calls are out of control.

This is a real shame. One of the hardest working people on the show and should have had more face time on the podcast. Will definitely tune in to wherever you end up

I would not be shocked if poles leaves the team bc he does not see eye to eye with Warren. What he should do is go to the mccaskeys and demand that Warren be dismissed so that he can do his job without being weighed down by a guy who doesn’t know football.
comment in response to post
From my sense, I think poles values personality and relationships to a fault, which makes him overlook other aspects that go into scouting. On the flip side, Warren is self-serving and manipulative. Talks big, but can’t deliver. I think poles sees this and it goes against his senses.

Love your Caleb breakdowns Chase!

Didn’t penix run a 4.5 at the combine?
comment in response to post
It’s crazy that last year, a 7-win team picked ninth, while this year, it’s likely a 4-win team picks ninth.
comment in response to post
If “he’s safe for now” is the answer, then just move on from him. Otherwise we’re just kicking the can down the road and wasting more of Caleb’s timeline with uncertainty and inconsistency.

Tbf, they would probably be worse off had jj stayed healthy
