Sailing lesson season in #Seattle is always a wild time.

I recently learned that amazon pays KU authors by the number of pages read, and now I feel bad because I always skipped the previews for the next book at the end. Now I've been trying to skim so all the pages get 'read.' I will either read the next book or I won't, a preview means nothing!

Fab Free has posted their ultra amazing spreadsheet for the #SecondLife 22nd birthday Shop-n-hop! fabfree-hopandshop.vercel.app I was scrolling through the big picture tab for 20 minutes. Favorite gift so far - The 'Please Leave By 9' party banner.

Take a look at this indie edition of Brigands & Breadknives - coming out in November. It's signed, has a lovely sprayed edge and some glorious endpapers! bertsbooks.co.uk/product/brig...

Reminder for Seattle area folks: the National Lawyers’ Guild will get you an attorney if you are arrested during a protest. Their phone number is (206) OK-TRY-ME.

Merritt's Tale is fully posted! #SecondLife #AO3 #writing archiveofourown.org/series/4795180 What do you do when your rescue mission runs into another rescue mission at the same facility? A tale set in Second Life. I am not apologizing about the Ghostbusters sequence.

911 isn’t the only number you need to know these days. In Washington state, help is three numbers away. Call or Text 911 – for life threatening emergencies & in-progress crimes 988 Lifeline– for suicide interventions and crisis support 211 – for information & community resources

“Fortune & Glory” - New original wooden ancient mystical relic up on jameshance.com I know, I know. It belongs in a museum. So do you!✨🎨

1. Florida banned cities from lighting up bridges rainbow colors for Pride. So the people of Jacksonville did it themselves using flashlights and gels. They opened the drawbridge to block them. So they marched to a different bridge. The latest from S. Baum. Subscribe to support our journalism.

Writing Rowan's Tale took 1.5 years, so I was surprised when Merritt's Tale only took 6 months. Ch 4 is now up on Ao3. I am not apologizing for the number of Ghostbusters quotes. Story set in #SecondLife archiveofourown.org/works/653504... Whole Series: archiveofourown.org/series/4795180

make this the official “i voted sticker”

Day 2 of Norwescon - snagged some art from Erika Rae Heins and @dreadpiratebri.bsky.social, and added some more authors to my to-be-read pile. Also heard about www.curios.com/authors/, an ebook alternative site. They originally were for musicians, but have recently expanded. Check them out!

Guys, I love all of you, but the answer to RFK, Jr. is not that autistic adults hold jobs, pay taxes, and get laid, it's that everyone deserves to live even if they can't work, pay taxes, or get laid.

Bought these potion bottle earrings for my Yzma cosplay right before we left NorWesCon last year. Thought: "Oh, I have a whole year to make labels for it." *Makes the labels the day before the next Norwescon starts*

I believe Mary Poppins will fit in every cosplay genre through obvious accessories - colors, red bow, hat, bag, parrot. I've successfully done Pirate Poppins (see pics), Anime-ary Poppins, and had BIG plans for Fairy Poppins that got halted by my reluctance to cut up an umbrella for wings.

It's been a hot minute, but I dusted off the sewing machine and made yet another bag for my Mary Poppins cosplay. The first one was too awkward, the second bag was pirate themed, and the flap wouldn't stay closed. We'll see how this sling bag does.

In the latest episode of "Things I didn't know they'd changed since I started playing #SecondLife," there is more than one type of right click menu in the Firestorm Viewer. Behold the non-pie menu! To access it, go to Avatar, Preferences, User Interface, 2D Overlay, untick 'Use Pie Menu.'

I asked Google for the difference between a mudslide and a bushwacker, and, uh, it took at least one too seriously:

Hey, everybody thought I would post another one for you guys. Here’s Charlie Brown’s Peanuts dressed up as Avatar: Last Airbender. #art #avatarlastairbender
