There's a few states that allow proxy marriages, but some steps were still skipped. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_m...

OMG, they pm me at least twice a year, blocking doesn't help. I usually tell them I do my own work. last time I said I hoped someday they found the rotate button.

It's been . . . five years? six? so I hope so by now. They shared books between libraries but I still needed multiple cards.

Libraries in Colorado are so wild. It was the first place I lived where every library had its own card, except in Boulder itself, which had a bunch of tiny satellite branches. I had to go to three before I could convince one of them to take my dime for my late fee.

I'm pretty sure they still make lazy susan hardware.🤔

I kept clicking on it because I thought it rotated and I wanted to see the video.

Columbia canceled my class on Race and Media, but I'm teaching it anyway. All thanks to people power and community support-- especially from you all on Bluesky! Happy to announce I'll be teaching Race Media and International Affairs 101 online-- hosted by D.C.'s MLK Jr. Memorial Library!

Not all of us are short stacks dating giants. I'm always looking for poses between couples that are much closer to the same height.

Duolingo completely reorganized my lessons the other day. Now I've got checked lessons that I haven't done yet, and I have no idea where the lessons I have taken are, with only the word collections list correct. I was going to suck it up and start over, but with this news, I'm out.

My brain saw 'theatrical' and assumed 'live on stage.' I'm thinking it'd be a great opera.

The shop I bought the earrings from last year was there again this year, so I swung by to show her what I'd done. Wouldn't you know it, she'd made ACTUAL Yzma potions and was wearing the earrings! I bought a keychain because it was bigger.

"Show us the art!" you cry. I hear ya. I sense a theme for me this year. I was wrong about the first artist's name - it's Nina Himes. Erika Rae Heins is the one who does the darling cat themed classical book covers. I suppose I should go back and make it come true?

after 17ish years using the same viewer, I'm not thinking, muscle memory is clicking it for me.

Gotta admit, don't know which I dislike more, multiple clicks, or having to move my mouse more to get to the thing I want to click on.

I admit I had to laugh at Primfeed changing their font to Comic Sans.
