If AP had finished sixth and one nothing this season he'd still be in a job. Levy makes a complete mockery of everything the club is meant to stand for.
To dare is to do.
Ange dared, and was dismissed for it.

It's why any critique of Dom this season is an immediate tell that someone doesn't know ball.

Also - Dom’s value to us this year was so much in pressing and build up

The prologue hit me in the gut.

Yes, which is exactly what we did! Three historically bad teams led us to make the decision to do what we did in the league, they didn’t “save us” whatever that means.
The US is behind in basically everything, but we’re super progressive with the way our sports teams are run!

He says “Mate” a bit too much for that lot.

“Three historically bad teams saved us”
No the fuck it didn’t it factored into the decision-making.

Right that was never realistic and if it was we would’ve changed priorities.

Oh absolutely.
There’s two opposite and only kind of related forces leading to toxicity surrounding Ange:
1) Ange Innies largely being foreign (to your point and mine)
2) Ange Outties caring about FOOTBALL MEN and RESULTS and also the xenophobia bit

As a Jackson Holliday owner in a dynasty league - his becoming a thing is interesting!

I made a similar point (though with a less spicy conclusion) a bit ago: I think American Spurs fans have less of a problem with this season and are more Ange In (even before the trophy) because of how prevalent tanking is in American sports.

I bought a knockoff Brennan the day of the final lol, so I’ll have feedback on how it looks on non-Dutch gods soon.

This is why it is a no-brainer to bring in KWP on a free to be our second, multi-side fullback backup.

Which fits the style, which is my whole point!
Another point worth making is I don’t trust Paratici to pick a manager lol.

Which you can’t really fault. And getting ready to line up a replacement (especially if it’s Inzaghi, whose season just ended).
My whole argument is either UEL didn’t matter, or it’s a trigger decision “we win he stays.” If he’s sacked and it didn’t matter, I get it.

This is where Levy being a fan is a problem. As much as I’m Ange In, if the decision was made this shouldn’t change it.
comment in response to

I hear you, but we can’t say that Levy thought it through thoroughly and was ready to sack Ange, AND he is now reconsidering his decision.
Either the vibes didn’t matter or winning changed the calculus, in which case it should’ve been an easy trigger decision. “We win so he stays.”

I think that reporting on Romero is pretty true, we thought he was gone anyway.

I think you’re likely right. So either stick to it or reverse it but do it or don’t, is my point.
