There are some really, really awful people on this site.

What’s wrong with you?

If we truly realized the power we have in a collective manner and what we have within ourselves, the results would be unrecognizable. We all know this on some level.

Difficult to overstate how much blood RFK and Trump will have on their hands in the coming years. Difficult to overstate how many innocent kids will die as a result of the people who cast votes for Trump last November.

WIRED is doing such vital reporting right now

For the astute scholar of pop music, "Justify my love" means "Drop your pants".

Pronouncing LOL as "El Oh El" instead of just saying "laugh out loud" is why we are where we are.

A state could abandon rent control if it locked peoples' rents at a certain rate they could afford, similar to a mortgage. E.g., my mortgage was lower than any rent in a city of 3 million. That's why I bought-not to own, but to live.

"It is often said that Anarchists live in a world of dreams to come and do not see the things which happen today. We do see them only too well, and in their true colors, and that is what makes us carry the hatchet into the forest of prejudices that besets us." —Lysander Spooner

One Big Beautiful Bong

This is a travesty & a nightmare. The US was a founder of @gavi.org. It lowers global vaccine costs, has vaccinated 1B children, & averted 19M deaths. This pull out will cost 100s of thousands of children's lives a year - and RFK Jr will be personally responsible. www.politico.com/news/2025/06...

What actor's expression in a movie will stay with you for the rest of your life?

I'm binging this show called Animal Kingdom, and there's this scene where Ellen Barkin offers some house painters lemonade. Given the context, the cruelty of it so intense I said "Nope, can't take this right now" and walked away. It's shocking they even got away with it.

Trump continues to test the limits of his power, and now he is doing so with respect to the military. He is doing so either to govern just short of a martial law declaration—or in preparation to make that declaration at some future date.
