A great alternative is to join an empty global lobby while having "recommended Lobby" set to "Unavailable".
This grants a 100 player open lobby only accessible via ID/Hunter Friends or by going specifically through Conditional Search, You may get the odd rando but it's more intuitive than Squads.👍
