Fahrenheit 451 actually states that people abandoned books first; setting them on fire was more a precaution than the method of change.

"But you can't hold on to water
If fills you up, but never stays"

"You were the tree and I was the apple
And fell to the ground and turned brown
Hate was the wind
But love was the secret that blew us to where we are now"
- Raindrops by Cheryl Cole

to me, the kent state massacre is one of the most disturbing events in this country's history. i don't remember how i learned about it (i'm a young millennial), but it's remained to me an emblem of everything fucked up here

this is legit how i explain it to my students: maybe it's a deep metaphor, but it's probably just mood setting or the character likes blue curtains. there generally IS a meaning, but that meaning does not necessarily involve 8 layers of interpretation

there's a version of this genre that makes sense in my head: using current events to pivot to and shine a light on a problem that's existed for a long time
but that would require saying "this is a problem BUT THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO SOLVE IT", something which most of these writers fail to do

Dark fantasy is not the opposite of progressive. I'd actually argue that both Dragon Age 1 and 2 were very progressive games. We just don't view them as progressive anymore because we've... progressed beyond where we were. DATV was just a poorly written game.

is every opera composer ever not a musical genius because they didn't write their own libretti?
also, his contributions weren't only in songwriting but also in vocal arrangement and orchestration. he may not have wrote the lyrics to god only knows, but the arrangement? all him

Note how he didn't reply to this, but he DID reply to someone questioning his credentials lol
Either way, I see how the cases have shaped fair use, but Mr. I Wrote 3 Books fails to explain how they apply to this case beyond that
because genAI is completely the same thing as digitizing books

in all fairness (and i hate being fair to game freak), this game was announced two years ago and has likely been in development for longer. for pokemon, they're essentially stuck on a 18-24 month development cycle, which is NOT enough to make a modern 3d game nowadays
